Printable advice for newbies

I tried this and it didn't work for me. I got the email and clicked on the link. It brought me to the coupons.com page and knew that I had already printed my limit.

I have a quick question. Are the Smartsource IP coupons suppose to print with the dot scan code in the top right hand corner like the coupons.inc coupons or is the pin # on the Smartsource coupons their security measure? Some of us Newbies need to know. One lady had her Smartsource coupons rejected at the store due to lack of dot scan bar in upper right corner.

UPDATE: Just in case someone else needs an answer to this question this was received from an administrator on HCW this is what she said....

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was contacting Smartsource so I could get the word straight from the horses mouth for you.

Smartsource.com coupons do not have a dot scan barcode, they instead have a watermark type feature behind the main wording of the coupon that reads "Powered By Smartsource" which if copied on a standard home computer would probably not copy over as it is too light.

Their coupons also include a Offer ID number.

Thank you all for all the tips. I too was thinking about setting up a second email account for all those site that require registration.

I was wondering, does it matter what is on the back of the coupons that I print out? I always have a stack of scrap paper thats only been printed on one side and would love to use that paper for my coupons as long as the stores will still accept them. I don't see any reason they wouldn't just thought I'd ask to be sure.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here or not because I haven't had time to read all 7 pages, but the coupon printer that needs to be installed to print out a lot of these coupons does not work on older computer running Win 98. This is the problem I have. So I can't use the printables unless I drive 45 minutes out of my way to my Dad's house to print them off. Just FYI kinda stuff :)

I have found that I can use multiple computers in the house to print from .So if you have more than one computer you can use another to get more to print .

From my many attempts at trying to print multiple coupons, here is what I found:
For most sites, and most coupons, a "coupon printing program" needs to be installed before you can print a Q. It seems to me that the program tracks the PRINTER, not the COMPUTER that is being used to print the Q's. Of course, they usually want an email address as well, but you can use 10 different email addresses--doesn't matter. If you've hit the limit for that Q printed on that printer--that's it--you're done printing that Q. Unless they reset monthly. PLEASE tell me if I have this right.Thank you.

I don't think it is tracking the printer...I think it's the computer. I have a pc, a laptop and 1 printer and I get 2 prints off each.
