How To: When a printable offer ends.... ways to keep our printables forum tidy

Calling all members!! There's often confusion on the best way to report a bad link or an expired printable offer in our printables forum and the database so I'd like to help explain the best ways to do so.

The easiest way for everyone is to simply hit the at the bottom left of the post. As co-mods for the printables, cheynesnana and I will both get an email for the reported post and one of us will take care of it. If it is truly an expired coupon, than we will either mark it as a Dead Deal or delete the post. We also will doublecheck the database and remove the link from there as well.

It's the same action if you find a bad link or an expired offer in our database. Click on the Report Option and it will alert the database mods to the problem. We will do whatever is necessary, either changing the link or deleting it from the database.


Hitting the report buttons is definitely the quickest way to bring the expired coupon to our attention. If a member just replies within the thread that it's a done deal, we may not see the post right away.

Question:
The Mission tortillas and chips link here is in the database as rolling printable, but exactly which mission product it's for changes...do we need to update that?
Currently it's "$1.00 off the purchase of any (1) pack of Mission Tortillas Plus! Product"

What do I do when I come across this situation?

The best thing in that situation is actually 2 things.

First report the existing entry, saying that it's no longer on website and then add the new coupon.

It's better that way because of the way that the database brings up the entries in chronological order.... i.e the last printable entries added will show up on page 1 in a search. If we simply changed the wording of an older coupon that already exists in the database, it will not change the entry date.

I would also like to suggest that as you post in the Printables Forum include in your title the Exp. date. Doing so will make it soooo much easier for the Forum Mods to be able to spot expired coupons faster! This will also cut down on the # of posts that you would have to report for mod review.
