Re: What is a Printable coupon? and other Frequently Asked Questions It so aggravates me when I go to print a coupon, and they fill the entire page with extra advertising, wasting my ink and paper.
The ink is SO expensive!).
It seems a crime to try to save money by using coupons, only to have to spend ink from $20 - $30 cartridges!!
I came across this tip.
I don't know if it works for all printers, but it seems common enough that it sure is worth a try.
Printers stop printing when they get to the end of a piece of paper (probably to protect the printer from getting ink all over its innards).
Coupons are usually at the top of the page.
When I want to print just one coupon, I insert half a sheet of paper, and when it gets to the end of the half-sheet, it stops. I don't get the extra half a page of wasted ink.
Wish I had known this about 4,000 coupons ago!
