WOW!!!! This STINKS!!!!!
Starting Monday (3/25) Price Chopper Stores will be implementing changes to their coupon policy. The changes that will be occurring are specific to competitor coupons.
This has been the most confusing part of their policy. Each store has been allowing and using different coupons based on their location and regional competitor stores. At this point, Price Chopper is making an across the board move. I will be paying very close attention.
Price Chopper will NO LONGER accept the following coupons as competitor coupons:
- Rite Aid
- Family Dollar
- Dollar General

The manager told me yesterday that they wouldn't be accepting Save-A-Lot coupons either. She's notoriously anti-coupon anyway. Do you think that falls under "manager's discretion" or is that part of the policy too? I might have better luck going to the big PC a bit farther away. Any thoughts?
Hi Coinlover...Per policy each store manager has the right to refuse any coupon. It stinks I know. So if they are saying no to Save-A-Lot, it is a no at your store.
My store after speaking with the manager will still accept since it wasn't on the list. Also, keep in mind my store won't take BJ or CVS coupons as competitors prior to the new policy.
Tomorrow the formal policy will change over. I am keeping my eye on this closely and will report back. Thanks for your question/comment
Yes they are still taking....No Problems with Target. (as of yet). I am almost certain that they put a stop to the above competitor coupons due to loss in money. I mean, those are some pretty awesome coupons.
PC is going lose lots more when the new Shoprite opens in Colonie on 4/7!!! That is my store.
I really think that PC's marketing team really needs to come up with some new and creative ideas - they are losing a lot of customers!!!! I think that we could give them a few pointers, huh????
