Does anyone know what prompts the coupons to print from the catalina machine?
My SIL bought a bunch of stuff at PC the other night for a party. She got hamburgers, buns, hotdogs, sodas, etc. She didn't buy any non-food items but she still got 4 coupons from the catalina machine for $2 off tp, $2.50 off laundry detergent, $2 shampoo/conditioner, and $1.50 off frozen meals. I hardly ever get good catalinas like this so I was wondering if they print randomly or by the amount that is spent or something. Anyone know the answer to this question?

Catalina coupons can be triggered by either items you just bought. For example if you bought one brand of laundry detergent, a coupon may spit out for a competitors brand to try to get you to give that brand a try next time. The OYNO Catalinas fall into this category as well.
Or if you are shopping at a store that has a store card, they use your card to track what you buy and Catalina coupons can print based on what you have purchased in the past. So for example you buy a lot of pet products in general, you go in to get a loaf of bread and toothpaste you may still find yourself with coupons for dog food or cat litter.
And sometimes it is just random...
