Does anyone know if the free item counts toward the total purchase for the quaker catalina deal?

I don't know from experience on this sale yet, but in the past they have. I remember bogo free wishbone working just fine in a cat deal. I'll be going out later today to do a deal and will let you know.

Oops sorry, I never went to the store yesterday so I still don't have a definitive answer on if the bogo counts in the quaker deal. Anybody else know firsthand?

Thanks for the edit and the sticky, Jourdysmom.

Okay, just got back from the store. I bought 8 canisters of the oats and got the $5 cat. I used three .60/1 insert coupons and the $3/5 coupon from the store flier. The only glitch was the store coupon automatically rang in at $2.89, the cost of one oatmeal. That actually works out okay for rolling though, since at full value it makes the deal -.04. So the overcharge keeps me from needing a filler. Eleven cents for eight canisters of oats is fantastic!

I hope the coupons that I ordered come in time so I can load up on oatmeal for the food pantries.

Here's something potential cool. I noticed that the new True Delights Quaker granola bars are included in the $2/4 sale. If they also count towards the cat deal then they'll be a great buy at $1.00 after insert coupon. Shelf price was $3.59 at my store so six boxes would earn the cat....making it six boxes for $1! I'm going to try it tomorrow.

I am sorry but I am having a hard time following your math on the canisters of oats. Does your store double coupons?

Sorry Freda, yes my store doubles. Also I've rolled over my cat from last week's deal to get me started. Now I'm not following your math. What value coupons are you using?

I had some $1 coupons and my store doubles $1.00 coupons! Yeah! I don't know what I will do if they ever stop! :shrug7:

I had 2 $1.00 coupon off of 1 Colgate toothpaste, and $1 off 1 Softsoap body wash for my first shopping trip. 3 dollar coupons doubled for a total of $6 off.

Then $1 off 3 Softsoap hand soap and $1 off 1 Colgate toothpast on my 2nd shopping trip. 2 dollar coupons doubled for a total of $4 off.

I hope that there is still some Quaker Oats left when I go next. I would like to tried to get stocked up on the canisters of oats.
