Default Price Chopper (east coast) Price Book

Ok...here is the link to a work in progress...

Price Chopper Price Book (06/22/08)

The above link is

I will be adding new prices each week as well as possibly creating a Price Chopper / WalMart weekly comparison.

Enjoy!

--------------------------------
I first want to apologize for not posting the ad scans this past Thursday - it's sometime VERY hard for me to get out of the house with DD (and "daddy" is an OTR Truck Driver so I'm solo!) But...I will try again this Thursday - I checked on Wednesday and nothing was out yet, so they must deliver Thursday morning (EARLY morning.)

Next...I started working on a spreadsheet a couple weeks ago, kinda like a price book but it's primarily based on ads that show things like B1G1 @ $3.99, or 5/$10 "Save at least $1.95 on 5"...etc...ads where I can actually figure the price out. Now I know prices will vary from region to region, but I figured it would at least help ME compare to WalMart and other places, so I might as well share it. It's a work in progress and I have 2 or 3 ads to enter, so I'll send an update when it's "Ready" and maybe I can do a google doc or something.

Next...I've officially decided that Saturday nights are the best time for ME to go shopping...there's no one in the store, and since I've stockpiled most of what I "need", if they are out of something it's really no big deal to get a raincheck. (Also my favorite cashier/manager just HAPPENS to work Sat. nights he he he.) But...I got to thinking this weekend...WalMart is literally 1/4 mile from PC...and if I go on Saturday nights, I will already have the next day's PC ad...so...why not "swing by" and compare prices? (I think this is going to turn into a full time job LoL)

So...my plan is that I will compare prices to things I really want/need and then add them to my price list for both PC and WalMart. I would be more than happy to add that to the above spreadsheet I mentioned.

For those of you not familiar with Excel 2007, there is a VERY nifty tool that allows you to convert a spreadsheet to a really nice web page (complete with tabs) in about 3 clicks...so I may just do that instead of a Google doc. We'll see...

Any suggestions / comments?

WillUBMyHero?

A price book is an invaluable tool. I've been meaning to do it for years, but, um, forget? lol With rising prices I'm sure lots of people would use it, me included.

You don't need to apologize over the ad! Everyone has a life aside from coupons. (Shhh) And you have a little one! If by chance you do get it just let me know the links (have to be approved) and it can get posted. Match-ups... if you want to, sure! lol ... but please don't feel obliged or fret over it, that's why I'm here.

Too cute! Ok...I've gotten a couple weeks worth of prices in (as I mentioned before) it's based almost primarly on advertisements. Obviously I shop there, so when I do, I track the original price and sale price in my little grocery savings spreadsheet - so I've added those things too. All in all right now about 209 items.

My WalMart price list is a combination of what's posted in the WM Thread as well as things I've written down, verified, and bought.

As for posting the ads...ok...I do NOT apologize (jk!) I just felt bad after promising to get it posted, I don't pull through the 1st time.

Coupon match-ups? I can definitely try. I'm a little against using HCW for that purpose only because not everyone enters everything, and most of the time I don't get the amounts that ARE posted...as I've said a couple different times (in other postings) Between 2 local papers the coupons differe DRASTICALLY. My "hometown" paper has virtually NO Q's, the Syracuse paper is better, but then if I'm lucky enough to grab the Philly paper I'm in heaven. I just grabbed a copy of the Scranton paper this weekend for the first time and the seem to be pretty good as well. But...I'll see what I can do :)

I will post what I have for prices and PM you the link. Thanks!!!
