YMMV- Cheap Pro Plan and Avoderm dog food

I shop at the petsmarts in Sugar Land/Missouri City, Texas. Pro Plan dog food 5-6 pounds was on clearance for $6-7. You can print a $5.00/1 coupon from www.coupons.com (you can go through swagbucks.com and earn swagbucks back for redeeming a coupon from there).

Some adult Avoderm is on sale for around $6-7 and a printable coupon was on petsmart.com coupons for $5/1. Not sure if it's there anymore.

Friskies cat treats are on sale for $1.50... you can use the $1/1 coupon that expires 12/31/2010 to get them for $.50 each. You can also use the $2/2 Whiskers/Friskies that expires in 1/2011. Also, Whiska Lickins are on sale for $1.20 and there was a $1/2 coupon that expires 1/2011 for $.70 each.

Thanks Gatosqueak- I will look for the clearance Pro Plan dog food... Do most Petsmarts clearance the same items at the same time? Anyone know? Was the clearance bags marked or did you have to get the cashier to price check it for you?

doglover8180 they are normally on the shelf marked as such. at least that is what i have seen.

i found bags of avoderm for $5.99 less the $5 petsmart ip, .99 for the 4lb bag. the avoderm is good til 12/31/10 if you have the coupon.

No ProPlan clearance though.

$7.49 for the 4lb bag of nature's recipe puppy food...if you had the $5/1 ip from last months prints at coupon.com then it is pretty cheap...got a bag of nature's recipe, avoderm and a jumbo (found them!) greenie..oh and 6 purina beneful wet cups ($1.57 - $2/1 coupon adjusted down=free)...just around $6.50 with tax (my tax is high here on dog food)

Cleaned out my store's supply today. Over three trips I've gotten 6 bags of Avoderm, 6 cans of Nature's Recipe, and 4 Greenies. Total was less than $10 with retail value of almost $80. I feel pretty good about that.

Our dog recently tore her ACL and is having surgery in two weeks, so high quality food is pretty important.
