UPDATED in post #31. Petsmart - Corporate office says there is no 6 oz. pouch of Purina Pro Plan

I called the Petsmart corporate office because the Petsmart nearest me says they don't carry the 6 oz. pouch and neither do the stores in nearby cities.

The young man I spoke with said he couldn't explain why Purina put out a coupon on a product not carried in their stores. I told him the coupon is "Redeemable only at Petsmart" and therefore Petsmart has an obligation to the consumer.

I know some people have found the 6 oz. pouch. If you have found them, please let me know your area. I haven't decided what to do next (i.e. contact Purina, call Petsmart again or something different) but I need to verify that Purina Pro Plan does come in a 6 oz. pouch.

Any other suggestions are welcome. As consumers, I think we deserve a better explanation.

I found them at the Petsmart at Turkey Creek in Knoxville, TN. The bad news is that 6 oz. is a tiny amount of food. The good news is that there is a $3 off Pro Plan coupon in the bag. Good luck.

I called Petsmart corporate and was given several different answers. One rep said they did not carry that size. One rep said only certain markets got the size. One rep had no clue.

I am still waiting for the manager of my local store to check it out.

Please keep us posted and help me keep brainstorming. I bought a TON of coupons and I'm not giving up. I begged, borrowed and traded for them. Notwithstanding my wasted time and money, I believe Petsmart owes us the free pouches because their name is on them.

The coupons were in the paper I have home delivered. That means I should be able to use them in my neighborhood. Petsmart should have been sitting on this stock and waiting for the coupon to come out so they would be ready. Their wishy washy answers aren't satisfactory. I want them to ship some of those bags to my area so I can buy them....that's your expectation when you get a coupon in your Sunday paper.

Keep the ideas and experiences coming. I'm probably going to try a call to Petsmart one more time and then call Purina.

We can get this job done. Petsmart doesn't want to take on a HCW crowd with fists full of coupons.

Throw in some phrases such as "false advertising" and "bait and switch" along with "negative publicity."

Also add in the fact that over 200,000+ viewers of this board (and more counting the lurkers) can have a noticeable effect on their sales.

Corporate needs to fix this faux pas.

but, remember that these coupons were put out to a certain area. some traders are reporting that they arent finding the pouches in their area and some of these areas did not get the coupon.

:shrug7: i got the 6oz pouch q and i posted in one of these threads what the store i went to said. I will be calling corp tomorrow and will also call Purina. I am SOOO not even half way finding this amusing

I buy the 37.5 lb. bags of Perfomance Pro Plan for DHs kennel at $41.90 each,
I cannot imagine a bag of dog food that small.
