75 pounds of recycling!

Recycling/Trash: 90 lbs
Donations: 24 lbs
Total: 114 lbs

This weekend my oldest two girls cleaned out thier room and tossed gobs of stuff. We had recently switched rooms for them and they never quite got the unpacking stuff done so while I instructed them we got the boxes of "stuff" put away and lots of stuff in the trash/recycling. Weirdest item we tossed this weekend was a antelope skull painted half red and half black that my oldest DD had gotten from her ex-boyfriend (nothing says love like a painted animal skull!)

(give or take, just found this thread, and thats about what everything al together thats been gotten rid of)

I am not going to even attempt to weigh everything we get rid of this year- not to mention the 100's of pounds of stuff we tossed or gave away while cleaning out my grandma's house! I do think this is the year to get ourselves our home and our life organized, and I love this thread! Is there any thought f doing a running total for the whole thread combined (and no I am not volunteering, LOL!)

Yeah we are going to be way up in the pounds maybe even a ton.. we got rid of an old building that was housing storage and outdoor items (lawn mover ect.. ) a big chest deep freeze.. we had a huge dump truck come and get a truckload to recycle.. we still have the rest of the basement and shelves to do.. we are going to remodel the basement. Plus the everyday things and the clothes the kids outgrow..
If anyone wants to take a guess on how much a storage building and deep freeze weigh that would help my count.. LOL

It took 3 men and a dolly to take them away..

Finally managed to get several bags of donations dropped off! Total: about 25 lbs.

i think i somehow ended up with more stuff??????this is not going to well for me..........kids room will get mostly packed this week

Hmmmm.. just found this thread. Well, so far I have thrown out two bags of papers from my finling cabinet... years worth of stuff I barely look at.
I have already started going throught my daughters closet, so lets see how much I get rid of outta there! And I still have one box left to unpack in my closet from when I moved.... I am sure there will be a lot of trash in there.

ok lets see..... I just started a few days ago cleaning out, and tossing out, etc....so far.....

Crib mattress donated (5 lbs?)
3 trash bags full of VHS tapes donated (20 lbs?)
3 trash bags of blankets and sheets(10 lbs?)
6 bags of toys trashed (broken etc...) (30 lbs?)
