Wow! That was fast!! Thanks for starting this!

I do have lots of recipes to share. I'll be posting them whenever I get a chance. I know that all recipes won't work for all of us (some of us are trying low-fat, some low-carb, etc). But, hopefully, they'll be helpful!

Ok, here is my first "recipe"

It's my yummy gluten free Red beans and rice

This is for a single serving

1/2 brown rice or white rice (i use insant white, cant stand brown)
    1/4 c canned kidney beans
chicken breast OR turkey hotdogs OR sausage (I use a less amount of meat if its higher in fat) I either use one hotdog or 4oz chicken or 1/2 cup ground sausage

It then spice with salt, pepper, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic salt and basil.

Its nice and filling, low fat and healthy. Also gluten free :) I eat this almost every day, so i can get my grains in.

I eat a lot of fish...but sometimes I get hungry for fried fish! So, here's my go-to recipe. BTW...almost everyone in the family loves it!

    OVEN FRIED TILAPIA

    1 lb Tilapia, thawed
1/4 cup flour (seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste)
    3 egg whites, beaten
    2 cups Corn Flake crumbs

Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray
Lightly coat each piece of tilapia in seasoned flour, dip into egg whites, then coat with Corn Flake crumbs.
Bake at 400 for 6 minutes on each side.

This will come out really nice and crispy! It's good on a bun too, if you're not dieting (or if you saved enough calories/points for it).

I need ideas for easy and quick meals for me (trying to get healthy) and my 4 boys, that I homeschool...I really wanna get the processed foods out of our diets or at least minimized-I feel like all they eat is pizza, mac-n-cheese, and hotdogs. Any help is appreciated;-)

PS, I'm thinking lunch ideas as I already try to make a decent dinner
