Who's trying to save this year and what are your goals?

I am planning to collect all of my rebate money in an account
with the goal being to purchase an iPad3 and proloquo2go application for my DS4

I will also try to end the year with a savings balance of greater than $2.70
which is the ending balance in the account for 2011.

My car will be paid off this Spring. Hopefully DH hasn't realized that. I plan to take that payment and combine it with my rebates and any "found money":
- My 1st hurdle will be to put $1,000 in Baby EF
- and start on 2nd hurdle...3 months living expenses in Big EF. I don't worry too much about myself, but if DH gets hurt/disabled, we are screwed. (He's a mechanic.) So I figure 13 weeks x his take home will be my goal for 2012/2013.

My plan is to payoff our house mid 2013. In order to do this, we have to stay on track this year. In order to keep our finances somewhat private I'll just post percentages. Right now we've made one payment and I'm at .08%

OK, first goal is to have 1/2 of the amount that I will have to pay out for Full Time Kindergarten next year in savings by the time school starts in September. Total will be $350 per month x 10 months. So half of $3,500 is $1,750. I just transferred $500 over from my Christmas bonus at work so That gave me 29% so far (I know it's not officially 2012 yet but it counts towards my goal). Future transferes I'm sure will be a lot less but at least that bonus gave me a jumpstart.

Now if I can keep from having to take any of that back out again I'll be good!

My second goal (I won't start tracking unless I get goal #1 taken care of) is to get 3-6months of expenses into savings. I need to go back and recalculate what that total will be since we have paid off several things this year and I haven't recalculated expenses. I'm hoping to get DH in on this goal as well since we paid off the truck this month and now should have some additional $ to work with from his checks. But I want this money to go into our joint account so I can 'see' it. We have seperate bank accounts plus a joint account we use as a pass thru.

I'm in! I am planning on moving to Houston before the end of this year with my best friend, and intend to stockpile food and etc, and MONEY! I would like to have at least $3,000 in savings before we move. I have taken a long break from couponing since my husband left in May, but now I'm ready to dive back in and build up a stockpile to give us a great head start in the big city :-)

Well my goal is to be at $10,000 by the end of 2012. We are saving for a new house :) Currently at 15% of that.

My husband has a plan of establishing a vehicle sale with the help of one of his best friends. Hope 2012 going to be a great year as far as our financial growth concerns.

I have no savings...well .05 cents so anything is better than this at the end of next year. My goal is to save 100.00 a month to have $1200 by the end of the year more if possible. I figure $3 a day would put me over the $1200 by the end of the year.

I plan on using rebate money, yard sale money, and look what I found in the couch money.
