2012 Deep cleaning challenge - or at least keeping on top of it. Set yourself a goal !!!

I am ready to begin my next personal challenge,
and I am looking for comradry and support.

At the beginning of this year I joined the Decluttering challenge
and have gotten rid of 2006 items,
with my goal being 2011.

I am ready to begin the next step today
I MUST find 5 items to offload today

then begins the process of deep cleaning my house.



I have a long, long way to go
as I have not dusted most areas in almost 10 years
(since we moved in )

Gross, I know.

But such is my life.

So join me on this venture.

by having my carpeting deep cleaned
(with green cleaners of course )

I'm up for your challenge!! We're in the middle of re-flooring our downstairs - so NOTHING is where it belongs!! Looks like Hurricane Irene has already blown through here!! She's not expected here til late Saturday night - and I sure as heck ain't cleaning for her!!! But afterwards - oh it's on!! I'll be having a pitching party!!

I am totally up for this challenge...I have a tough time staying on top of stuff until it is too much. My goal is to just start with the little things daily, that is AFTER Irene blows through and makes a mess of it all first.

I just got done taking the "before the storm pictures" of the house for the insurance company - so now my mayhem is documented!!

including floor boards, door frames, fireplace, et al.

Only thing I got "cleaned up" today was possible yard projectiles!!

I'm in! Today I cleaned out the kitchen drawers and cabinets, purged a lot (who in their right mind needs 3 junk drawers???), scrubbed and reorganized everything. I also primed/painted the trim around 6 windows outside, and trimmed the hedges in front.

I will be joining you on this one soon after it calms down here some. DH bought more junk in the house so I have been throwing out stuff (1 item at a time). Then let the cleaning being-bathrooms first. Then as I do a room I will be accessing stockpile items in that area.
