Oh wow. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm sure someone on here can help.
Hey Ya'll
Need a little advise and help. I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I do not have insurance. I do get medical help from a local clinic. My blood test came back as having lupus. Anyone know where I can get help confirming and treating this without having insurance. All advise will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I'm sorry to hear of your condition. Lupus is an autoimmune disorder that may affect multiple organs. With that said, you may require a lot of tests and referrals to different specialists. Treatment can be quite expensive, mostly with steroids. I hope you can find an affordable insurance to take care of your medical bills.
Meanwhile, just stay positive and start looking around for health insurance for your medical needs in case you need more than what the local clinic can provide for free.
Do you have symptoms of Lupus? It's the ANA they test & although mine is positive, I don't have Lupus. It's not always that cut 'n dri. You really need a specialist. I would advise you to seek help from the university hospital there in Tuscaloosa. They often allow you to fill out hardship apps & give discounted treatment.

If you get help from the university hospital, they often have studies. You would qualify for them if you have an official diagnosis.

Thanks for the help. When you say university hospital, I did't know Tuscaloosa had a university hospital. Thanks again.
I thought I saw one in the search I did. Am I wrong?
