An Elliptical is not hard on joints. They are recommended for those who suffer from knees problems.

Mama, if you are thinking about an elliptical, I highly recommend the Wii Active with the balance board for an overall workout.

I love the elliptical we got...there are many different qualities of them out though, so dbl check the brand, we got a Bremshy Orbit Control S, new they retail for $1300, I got it for $250 on craiglist! I can't do treadmills, my shins always hurt when I try, whenever I was at a gym I found these to be more comfortable.

Thanks y'all, I will keep these in mind. I want a Wii, too. Of course, wanting is not getting.

I have the wii fit plus and I like it a lot. I have wanted an eliptical for a while but there is no where to put it.

today I did 30 min run/jog with the wii fit Jillian Micheals Bootcamp Game my legs feel like j-e-l-l-o but I need to get down about 40-45 lbs and I have until the end of June to get there. wish me luck. I eventually am going to do 1 hr of workouts. But I figured small amts to start so im hoping Im doing it right. if you have a wii I highly recoommend the game it makes you sweat your butt off.

The Wii Active game is anywhere from $29-$49. I think it is still on sale at Target. You may want to replace the resistance band if you are tall. A replacement costs ~$5.

The wii balance board comes with the Wii Fit. The Fit is more of a yoga/game v Active which is working with a trainer. The board intensifies the work outs. I've asked for one for my b-day. If I receive it, I plan to sell the game to recoup some of the cost of the board.

I did 45 min workout today jogged and intervals with Jillian game again im def feeling it today. my butt ,thighs and back are all achy. my legs feel like Ive done 1000 squats or had sex for a very long time..LOL im way out of shape :(
