Lets Get Physical Healthy Lifestyle Change challenge

for the month of Aug my goal was at least 5-7 lbs and I met it ! it was a bit rough and lots of temptations:hectic1:. but with watching what I ate and being very busy helped out alot! I treated myself to a 3 muskieteers bar not the best snack but its been a month without treats . I drink water and diet green tea. I cut soda out completely. as my dr told me even diet is worst for you. if anything drink clear diet sodas.


starting weight 170
ending weight 163 as of AUG 27 2009

Septs goal is another 5-7 lbs

starting weight 163
end weight TBD

goal for this month more exercise (fitting it in the busy schedule I should say.) trying for at least 30 mins.


So Here is the challenge if you have 5-20 or more lbs join me in the sept challenge for a new you! The Healthy lifestyle change challenge. take one month at a time and change one thing for example I quit soda, I know alot of you are addicted to it lol but even if you only drink 1 a day instead of a whole 6 pk and drink water the rest that is a change and in the end you will notice that change. there are going to be days that temptations will get the best of you. Ive been putting my yogurt in the freezer and then eating it as a cool sweet treat. just like a sorbet kinda ice cream cup ;) if ya want to join in for a new you post your goals and what you would like to change/set your goal for the month of Sept. Lets keep each other on track! remember you can do anything if you set your mind to it.

I started doing weight watchers On Aug. 11. I am doing pretty good I've lost 12 lb so far. The weight comes off pretty easy for me, always has but i have too many excuses for not doing it. My goal is to stick with it.

Sounds great! I will post my numbers on Sept. 1 and decide then what my goal is. I have struggled for years with my weight.

remember we are calling this a lifestyle change not a "Diet" if need be write on a piece of paper something positive and hang it on your fridge next time you reach for a snack say positive note to yourself .

I'm a bit late in joining the challenge but here I am. I am ready to live a healthier lifestyle which includes decreasing sugar and eliminating wheat(intolerance) from my diet. Those are my biggest issues and I need to start there. Plus, I have been switching to organic and natural foods overall for months now.

Thanks for starting this thread.

My goal is to lose 50 pounds over one year by eating healthier and exercising 30 mins 4x week. I will start out with walking around my neighborhood or at the store/mall during bad weather. To figure out where my food habits are not good, I will track what I am eating on a free online diet/healthy lifestyle website(not sure I can link it- if I can, I will).

What I want here is to be held accountable for getting 4 days of focused 30 min exercising and to be held accountable for making healthy dietary changes for myself and my family.

Day 1 - I signed up for free online diet program and set-up my program there. I am committing to checking in there daily to update my food/exercise and to post here about my challenges and accomplishments.
