*** SWEETS and BUGGY do Hershey Park Spring 09*** tips and help appreciated!!

Asweetheart and I, who have already met in "real life" and have kids around the same ages etc. Have decided that in spring 09 we are going to meet in the middle of where we both live now and visit:

Hershey Park in Hershey Pa!!!!!

So, to fund this trip, over the next 9 months or so, we are going to do some coupon auctions, sell some items in classifieds and who knows what else!
We plan to trade for coupons from the Hershey PA area entertainment books for hotel, resteraunt etc. and of course will be looking for coupons for discounted entrance to Hershey Park itself!

So, watch this thread, bid on our auctions, trade with us and more!!!

If you have any tips on how to do this on the lowest possible budget for maximum fun, feel free to share!!!

Above all else, wish us luck in our quest to do a coupon funded road trip with our kids!!!!

I'm so excited to start!! As buggy said, we met in real life long ago, and I'm excited to spend my first vacation in years with my HCW BFF.

This year has been really hard on me finacially, and my goal is to earn as much of my funds for this trip as possible through rebates, and HCW sources (such as our auctions and classifieds section).

My current amount saved so far is $66.50

One of our first goals, I think, will to be to figure out what we want to do, how long we are going to stay and figure out a rough estimate for cost. Anyone have any Hershey Park expiriences they want to share?

You know what's sad? I don't live but a couple hours from there and have YET to go there. I LOVE chocolate as does my dd, who has also never been...ironically-the non-chocolate lover in this house, my husband, HAS been there. Go fig, right?

Yummy chocolate :) I was there about 8 years ago. It was super fun, but I am afraid of heights so I only went on about 2 rides the whole time. I think you ladies will have a great time!!

You are gonna have so much fun!! I haven't been since I was a kid (use to have family in PA) and have always wanted to go back. Especially when the travel channel shows a program about it, lol.

Thanks to a trade with kdownie, I now have my first $5 towards our trip.

I found the forms, and plan on mailing in a MIR for $10 on $20 barbecue essentials. One of the included items is paper plates. I found two of my reciepts from buying solo plates at bi-lo recently. The plates were $2.79, and when you bought 4 you got a $4 oyno catalina (promo ended).

Sooo......
My total between the two crts was
$23.82
-$16 in coupons

$7.82
-$4 (cat from 1st transaction that I used on the second transaction)

$3.82 PLUS I had a $4 oyno cat and when the rebate comes in, I'll have another $10 to add to my fund.
