Re: Meet the new member of our household :) What a sweetie!!! Enjoy him!!!! Rescues are so great because they seem to love you even more for saving them. As for the name....go with what you like...I did that with my kitty, although everyone else did not like the name, I kept hearing it in my head. Finally did a search & realized that it was from a cartoon when I was a kid (Josie & the Pusycats) with a tux cat called Sebastian. LOL
Any way....enjoy each other and I wish you all the best of health and happiness together!
Re: Meet the new member of our household :) The same thing happened with MY dog too! He's a prodominantly white boxer and when he was a puppy almost all of his nose was pink with just a few black spots. Now 2 yrs. later, almost all of his nose is black! We were eating dinner one day and he was laying by the stairs facing us when I noticed how black his nose had gotten. It freaked me out for a little whileWhat a cutie! Don't expect that nose to stay bi-colored, however. When I was a child our puppy came with a pink and black nose. Turned out she liked to bury things with her nose SO much that she was rubbing the skin off her nose.
As she got older and bit less active, the skin grew back and she had a black nose like all the other dogs. Of course, she never did get over hiding socks in the corner of every chair cushion. When one came up missing, we always knew where to look.
Petey has a thing for socks too-he likes to eat them.
