omg, my dogs just finished off a bag of these a few weeks back. So far they are showing no signs of illness except for 1 of my dogs developing a wart like sore on the side of her paw. Yikes!
I found this posted on FB (thanks Meemsie). Just wanted to put the word out. I used to give my dogs this stuff, but quit a few months back after reading another sad story.

After reading this story, I no longer feel that I am mean because I dont give my dogs any of this stuff, just maybe a small piece of biscuit 2 times a day (Iams)or something Im eating. When my male was young I gave him a greenie every day for his teeth, he went nuts over them, very costly, and then he developed kidney stones so I stopped giving him them (too much protein for him) and then they were recalled because of dogs dying from them. I think they were choking hazards. I have always been against all those treats. I used to give a few cheerios as a treat. I would give my puppies 1 cheerio ( 5 pound puppies) as a reward for sitting or doing business outside. Got a lot of mileage out of 1 or 2 cheerios. Now my male at 11 is jaded, hes 20 pounds and not interested in cheerios unless hes really hungry, prefers pita bread or piece of biscuit.
I actually bought 6 pkgs. of boneless chicken breast just for my dogs. Well, and for me. LOL! But seriously, it was 1.19lb. Beggin strips are, on average, about 8.00 a pound.I did the math. And I know the chicken is from the U.S.. I'd say that, should companies start producing chicken jerky here, it would be so high I couldn't buy it anyway. I am actually wondering if I can dehydrate it myself, but it would be really icky messy, eww!
I have always given my dogs table scraps too.![]()

You would be amazed how many products (food) are made in China and shipped here and they are done for American companies.
Next time you look at canned fruit, look where they're from. Yes, I'm talking about Dole and other major brands.
It's not just dog food we need to worry about that is coming out of China![]()
Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??
Saving money ~ it's a way of life, not an attitude
I agree. It's getting really scary. We have had lead in toys & tainted dog food before. Let's not forget why we couponers have so much free Mighty Dog in our stockpiles. They had to save face after China sent tainted ingredients that killed numerous pets.
And we could be next. Baby formula comes to mind. What was that people found in it? Melamine or something? Can't remember.

I was thinking about e-mailing dole fruits when I say that the canned mandarin oranges I was eating came from china. I was angry. Also, frozen flounder, even when it says its wild, if it comes in the big bag are from china, I guess open seas, but still china or at least packed in china. I buy flounder for one of my dogs who has food allergies so I spend $10.99 a pound or more to buy it wild from local waters. I read everything and it seems sowhere on the packaging in fine print is the word CHINA! I figure I am only using about a tablespoon of the flounder (or salmon if I can get it wild for cheap), in with her dog chow, natural balance, so its not too costly. I wont buy any seafood for myself, like shrimp, unless they are wild.
I also dont give rawhide to my dogs because I couldnt be sure where it was coming from. I did buy USA made rawhide once but worried about chemicals for the doggies so just stopped giving it.
So scary out there!
That's why we drink Welches Grape Juice..because it's from the USA. It's not that I expect everything I eat to be from the USA...but I wan't zero from China. It's not that I hate China..they are a very lovely people..but they have a long way to go before I trust them to eat any of their food.
It's one of those things the feds really need to step in and basically put the kabosh on. There is no reason why we should be trusting them at this point with our food..or our pets food. They have to earn it, and frankly they can't even safely feed their own people. too much corruption and no safety guards in their own country.
**I should note..go figure China though is about the only safe place to get Soy though...we don't eat Tofu or anything like that but Monsanto here in the U.S. has ruined it.**

Consumer complaints about Waggin Train Treats
Consumer complaints about the waggin train treats and how many dogs are sick and/or died from them.
Raising children(especially teens) is like being pecked to death by a chicken
In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.
