1 2 yo female chocolate lab
    1 20+ lb 15 yo cat
    1 DS 7
    1 DS 11
    me
    DH

Everyone is afraid of the cat, except me and DS7. Kitty is like a guard cat, and very ornery.

The dog definitely thinks i am the "leader" of the family, and won't listen to DS 11 very well, but takes commands from DS7 very well. I think it has more to do with food rewards/training than dominance. DS 7 and I trained her, and DH and DS 11 did not.

Our calico cat (Ms. Ely Mae) rules our house. She gets annoyed all of the time by our shih tzu pup (Girlie) and our lazy 1/2 sheppard 1/2 chow (Jonah). She may be declawed but all it takes is a look or a bat to make everyone (including us) behave. We do not even move her if she takes our seat when we get up!

Last Saturday, we got two 5 week old fur babies -- 1/2 Papillon, 1/2 Chihuahua that are brother & sister. Gracie Mae is sable colored and looks like a Pug in the face. Isaiah is black & tan with white under his chin and belly and on his paws. They are so tiny and totally adorable! The mother had weaned the puppies at 4 weeks and they are eating soft puppy food or crushed puppy kibbles with a little goat's milk mixed in. They are healthy and rambunctious!! Both are using puppy pads and sometimes will even scratch at the door and whine. Although they only weigh 1.9 lbs each, they can be a handful...but they are so much fun and I love 'em to pieces already. Gracie thinks she cannot go to sleep unless I am holding her or she is resting against me in some way. This morning, after they finished eating, Gracie crawled between my ankles, cradled her head between my bedroom shoes and went right back to sleep. Isaiah {Zay-Zay} is not as bad...but he is still spoiled rotten. He loves to curl up in my lap or on my chest {with his little nose resting on my neck} and snooze.

Right after we first got them, I sang to them to settle them down. They went to sleep with me singing "Amazing Grace"...and now...they either have to have me sing to them or they have to have a worship CD playing to go to sleep at night. I guess I've already spoiled them, huh? They love to run and play...and they bite everything! Yesterday, Zay-Zay was trying to chew on the cabinet door hinges while Gracie was chewing on the stove drawer! They love to chew toes, fingers, shoes.....and each other. I gave them an old shoe and a couple old socks that we rolled up into balls for them to gnaw. I'll post pix of my new "babies" just as soon as I can.

Toupon (mutt - lab maybe heeler mix?) thinks she rules the couch

    Holly (Sheltie) rules my heart.

But Shay Shay (Rat Terrier) rules the roost for sure.

The cats don't really care one way or the other I guess....
