    Pets New Cat help!!!!

    Hi All

I have a new kitten to my family and I have been using Arm and Hammar baking soda super clumping cat litter and she seemed to like it a lot. She was an outside cat before we adopted her and I was just wondering what brand I could get coupons for on a regular basis because I clean out her cat pan at least once a week so I know coupons for cats on a reular basis Please HELP me firm so cat littler coupons. I would like to keep her on which ever brand I can find regular coupons for so any suggestions would help.

    Audrey

I often see coupons out there for Arm & Hammer, Tidy Cats, Fresh Step, Swheat Scoop, Feline Pine, Cat's Pride.. They all carry different values and have different size requirements (or no requirements at all).

If you go up to the coupon database at the top of this page and type in "litter" into the search box, you will find a bunch of good cat litter Qs. I can see a few internet printables up there, too.

Litter is one of those things I stock up on when it goes on sale. We have a multi-cat household, so we're cleaning out our boxes fairly often. Sometimes you can find rebates every-so-often in different stores (most of which I find out about through browsing these forums).

Congrats on getting a new kitty!

If you are using scoopable litter, you don't need to empty the pan once per week. You should replace the litter every now and then (we do once every 4-5 weeks or so, or when ever the litter does not look so clean).

Also, I wasn't sure from reading your email, but you should really choose one brand of litter and stick with it. Most cats don't like change in their litter.

We have three cats and I use Premium Choice litter--$10 for 40 lbs (but goes on sale for $8-9 regularly). It's unscented and works fine.

Thank yall both for your help. The cat litter I am using right now clumps easy and has to be changed often because of the litter clumping so she can't use it. Thank you for the Advice I will check the database.

Still, you don't need to replace ALL the litter every week. If you're going to do that, you might as well use the cheap, non clumping kind of litter.

Just use a scoop to remove the clumps and solids 1-2 times per day and add new litter to the old as needed.

We use Feline Pine, there isn't always coupons available but it is the best organic brand out there. I think that you might not be able to find enough coupons for just one brand you may need to try a couple.
