I would take him to the vet - it sounds like he may have been bit or something....
Also if you are still smelling the skunk spray - try bathing him in tomato juice.
Ok..My aunt has a german shepard and 4 days ago he was sprayed by a skunk...He was sprayed in the morning at like 7 am and she had to take my grandpa to the dr so she wasnt able to deal with him until about 12pm that day so she just kept him in her breezeway...She came home and did the peroxide, baking soda and liquid soap mixture and put it on him and it took the smell right away...BTW they checked him for bites and there was none and they made sure he didnt lick any of the soulition they put on him...Now for the last 2 1/2 days he has been vomiting, not eating, moaning and whining and just laying around....She has absolutely no money to even try to take him to the vet and shes afraid that hes gonna starve himself....Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do or what it mite be?
She has tried boiled chicken and hamburger and rice which is what one vet told her to try when she called them...Thanks so much for your help!!

I just don't think the smell alone would make him so ill like that - it seems like there is a bigger problem.
She is going to have to take him to the vet. The spray might have gone into the skin and cause some trouble cause it was on him so long. maybe they can work out a payment plan

He's probably so dehydrated at this point he's going to have to go in. He may just need an IV to get him feeling better so he can eat again.

I don't know if they are taking new pets or not but she can try IMOM Home to see if there are any funds to help him. She will have to fill out an application online and provide financial information if she thinks she will qualify. This is a great organization developed to help pet owners when their pet is critically ill, which sounds like this may be the case. I hope she gets some help and her puppy gets better.
could be the peroxide. peroxide will induce vomiting in a dog. too much and he will continue to vomit.
i would have her call the vet and just ask him and explain that you have no money. maybe he can give you something you can do over the phone. but more than likely she will need to take him in.

I pretend tomushrooms. It makes it so much easier to kill them.
Awe! That is so sad! I have been in that situation in the past knowing a pet should be seen and no funds to do it. It is surprising how some vets will bend over backwards to help get the pet care when in need. There is a nice link posted by a pp poster it might be something to look in to. I found a hospital for my dog years ago that was a veterinary hospital that they had a Dr and he worked with Bocces students who wanted to become a vet/ DR and the prices were much lower there and the Dr did all the work. The students shave the animals and pre prep them for surgeries and such but anything major they observed. I used that office many times in the past for other pets and refer people to them in my area. I am not sure if all areas have offices like this but worth looking into. I hope her dog gets feeling better or she is able to make arrangements to get him the care he needs.

I second IMOM! Also, the animal should be taken to a vet as soon as possible. Many of them are very understanding and would be willing to work out a payment plan. As for the cause, it may not even have anything to do with the skunk incident. Something else could have happened at the same time.
The longer the animal goes without medical care, not only will he/she continue to get worse most likely - but the cost of everything they need will just go up as they become sicker... so it will end up costing more in the end. I think it's better to get the animal treatment sooner rather than later. Also, if you have any kind of college near you that has a vet program - they often will work on animals for less because their students need training.
