Her situation was kinda different...She didnt want a dog because of the pain she had when she lost her first dog to old age...Her german shepard was just a puppy when she found him and she put up signs and told the humane society and dog pound that she found him and after 2 weeks nobody contacted her and she tried to bring him to the humane society but they wanted to charge her $65 for bringing him there and she didnt have the money and she didnt want him to go to the dog pound where they couldnt guarantee that he wouldnt be put down due to lack of space so she kept him...so he kinda fell into her lap so to speak...she tried to apply for care credit a while ago and she got denied...she was gonna scrape up money to bring him that monday but it was too late...he got sick n died so fast that I really dont think a vet could have done anything...not asking for sympathy...she never really asked for it...it just kinda happened

I understand. If you or any one reading ever finds themselves in a similar situation when they find an animal and are reluctant to take it to the Humane Society try contacting a local rescue group. You can find out what groups are in your area by looking on Petfinder.com. Rescue groups will take the animal free of charge, provide medical care and neuter/spay the animal prior to placing it for adoption.

Big thank you for your support! Rescue groups always need and appreciate food, shampoo and old blankets/towels.

I'm so sorry to hear about the dog. I'm not sure what caused the vomiting, but I'm sure that dehydration from the vomiting was at least one cause of the dog's passing.

Great idea!! I realized this past weekend how important it is to have money saved for a pet. Our dog was hit by a car sat. night and we took her to an emergency vet. Luckily we had the money for it.
