I have a New Foundland and a Golden and they could easily fit together comfortably on one. Since dog beds are so expensive this was a nice break!

As for a cover, maybe you could just use a fitted toddler bed sheet or a twin bed sheet so the elastic would wrap around the bottom and stay in place better?
