dog crate?

I have GOT to get a dog crate for our puppy. He is terrible at night. Every morning i am waking up to pee and poop and stuff torn up. Anyone know of a good deal on one? He is a medium sized dog, at least for now.

I wish I were nearby. I have lots of crates in a variety of sizes and styles that I am going to be getting rid of. Have you checked craigslist? I see them all the time on there. Good luck.

I know my local PetSmart discounted their crates (wire kennels) to about 75% or more off about two weeks ago. I guess they are switching brands and needed to empty their stock of kennels. It was an amazing deal...I got a $150 huge size kennel for $35. Small kennels were about $10 and meduim size kennels were priced in the $20's. Great deals... so worth checking out if you have a PetSmart around as I imagine it must be a coporate decision to change brands so hopefully other stores have discounted their kennels as well.

Post on your local freecycle group for a crate. In my area, crates are switching hands all the time.

Are you limiting your dog's food and water intake at night? And how often are you taking him out? He needs to go out right before you go to bed, whether he is in a crate or not.

WOW on the petsmart deal, I will have to check there. I did check craigslist and did not see one I was intrested in. Maybe I'll get lucky at petsmart. Thanks everyone!

Might want to just keep watching craigslist. When we briefly had our other medium size dog, we got a crate for $50. :)

I got a child/toddlers play pen for my puppy when she was little - it gave her more room than a crate would and it kept her confined....just a thought... cost is probably pretty equal - I think mine was 45 dollars or so at Walmart.
