We have 1 cat, Zorro. Unplanned of course. Once our son moved out we thougt we were done having animals. He did belong to one of my sisters', who had 5 cats. After all living together for almost 10 years Zorro started tormenting and I mean tormenting 1 of the other cats big time:sad:. Poor cat ended up going to the bathroom on the counter and they decided Zorro had to go so either give him away or put him to sleep. No one else could take him, other animals, so I couldn't stand the thought of him being put to sleep, unnecessarily, so we took him in. Now he is a spoiled PITA. Very vocal, full Siamese(beautiful), and very demanding. Keeps us laughing though and since my DH HAD to go to the afternoon shift it is nice to have the cat here, to talk to and doesn't talk back.

We have two indoor cats, a Beagle and a ferret. We've recently been adopted by a big orange neutered tabby cat that is an outdoor kitty. He was obviously someone's pet because he is friendly while being very cautious at the same time. He doesn't roam around the neighborhood. He is content to lay in the shade and wait for feeding time and some cuddling. My neighbor believes he was left behind when people 4 or 5 houses down moved. Not necessarily intentionally left behind but left behind all the same. I talked to all our neighbors and asked if they minded an outside kitty and no one does so he has a home now. He will be welcomed to sleep in the garage when it gets cold but he seems to avoid going inside the garage at all.
We were adopted by a little gray cat in December or January. He was a kitten and showed up hungry. He was friendly as could be and it was cold so we made a bed for him in the garage. It wasn't long before he wiggled his way inside the house and then he got to make a trip to the vet for neutering. I swear that he thinks he is a dog. He and the Beagle are best buddies and wrestle and play like nothing you've ever seen. He actually belongs to Little Bit the Beagle...we just get to feed him and pay the vet bills.

cats --14 year old Simba, 1 year old Crookshanks
leopard gecko -- 2 year old Sarge -- he belongs to my almost 12 year old son and dh and I have nothing to do with him
