I'm so sorry to hear about all your losses. My babies are getting up there in age and I dread the day that i will lose them. I had a german shepard/akita mix that we lost to kidney failure years ago. I miss her too. hugs all around.

i just had to put my fellow companion down after 12 years. he was unable to stand up. he was a great service dog, an awesome work partner and a loving house pet. he use to check on my oldest when she was a baby and would wake me anytime she cried. i told him it was time to go and frolic without pain with all his new friends. he will be greatly missed.

Our beloved Great Dane, Jack, died in my arms on December 6, 2010. He got a condition called bloat and by the time we knew he was in trouble, he only had a few minutes left. He made me smile, he knew when anyone needed a big sloppy kiss, he knew when to sit on the couch beside you and rest his giant head on your lap, he knew when to be silly and loved making us laugh. Our youngest son could walk him and he'd never pull or try to get away, he allowed our grandkids (all toddlers) to crawl all over him and never uttered a sneer at them. Jack loved for us to blow bubbles - he'd chase them for hours. I went through a bunch of pictures for a project for Christmas and was a bit embarrassed that I seemed to have alot more pictures of Jackie boy than I have of my kids lately. My grandbaby Breezy, who is 3 yrs old, told me that God doesn't NEED Jackie Boy, but WE do! God needs to GIVE HIM BACK!! This was her first experience with death and it was eye opening to see and hear her take on it. He is missed and loved. The grief is hard but we will life with his beautiful memory. RIP my sweet Jack.

My sweet Harley died February 26th of this year. He was a stray that wondered up to a friend's house. She had too many cats and since I only had 2, I offered to take him. He was one of a kind - very friendly, never met a stranger, would go outside in the backyard and not jump the fence (well maybe a couple of times) and loved to snuggle. We think he was about 14 and he succumbed to kidney failure. I got to hold him and rock him at the end. I treasure the 4 years I got with him.

I need to figure out how to attach a picture of Harley. My profile picture is Tiger - the very first cat I got - he got very sick recently and it's diabetes. He's doing much better now after starting insulin.

I'm so sorry for all of your losses. I lost my Callie this February from intestinal cancer and it was one of the hardest things I've dealt with. She was 9 years old and is the calico pictured in my avatar.

    Sam will be missed greatly.
He was a super hyper crazy dog that was full of love.
He especially loved playing with the kids, catching popcorn, gnawing on firewood, and napping with my DH.
I will remember him as always being the charmer.

I just lost my 11 yr old cat Rocky this past Monday after a 1- 1/2 yr battle with an overactive thyroid. The meds stopped working and he deteriorated very fast and I had to make the decision that I didnt want to. He was my best friend. My hubby would say- I think u love the cat more than me and Id tell him Well he was here b4 you LOL. Ive been a wreck, i miss my baby.

Thunderman was a very sweet Himalayan cat, he just loved to cuddle, was also very vocal and always demanded attention, he loved to lay on my chest and would purr so loud. I miss you my sweet boy.

He now joins at the Rainbow bridge his cat brothers Yolo, Sylvestor,
and Peuttybug, who was a Lhasa Apso.

I love & miss ya all.
