CHEF Recipes for your dog - Find 'em and post 'em here

I would love to find some homemade treat recipes for my boys. A few weeks ago, there was a table at Petco selling home made treats to benefit the animal shelter. I bought these treats with all veggies in them and my dogs went nuts over them. I know for sure they had broccoli in them, but I couldn't exactly make out what else was in them.

I found this recipe on a blog linked to a pet deal blog I follow. I'd like to try it out. This is the only recipe posted on that site so far, so I'd love to hear about recipes other people use.

Quick Peanut Butter Biscuits

1 cup flour (sory this didn't copy over for some reason)
1 cup of peanut butter
1 cup of plain instant mashed potatoes mix
1 cup of water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the dry ingredients of flour and mashed potatoes mix together. Then add the water to dry ingredients and mix well. Next, add in the room temperature peanut butter. You should have cookie dough consistency. Roll little balls of dough with your hands and then flatten the dough to make small circle shaped cookies. Place the dough on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12 - 14 minutes. The cookies should be nice and brown. Next, remove the cookies from the oven and then them cool for 30 - 45 minutes. While they are still warm, if you want to make them smaller just cut them with a knife. Once cooled they will harden to become biscuits.

I tried this recipe out a few days ago, and my dogs definitely love these. Peanut butter is their fave.

Dog tested, mother approved.

I would love to try this recipe, but just wondered if there's supposed to be flour in it? It isn't listed in the ingredients, but in the directions. Thanks!!! If I can find any great recipes I will post :D

Here is the recipe that I make my doggie treats. It doesn't have meat but it does have meat flavoring.

Whoops! For some reason that didn't copy over. You are right, there is one cup of flour. I updated the OP.

That looks like a good recipe too. I will have to try that one the next time I'm in a dog treat making mood.

Frozen dog treat (similar to Frosty Paws but cheaper to make)
1 Large Banana sliced
1 32 oz vanilla or plain yogurt
2 Tablespoons Honey
2 Tablespoons Peanut butter (creamy)

In a blender combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into paper dixie cups and freeze. I make rows in a 13 x 9 pan so they don't tip over and spill. Makes approx 20 - 24 for $2.00 and my dogs love them. I also peel off the cups so they don't get eaten lol.

The only thing that worries me is some of those recipes have garlic in them, and I thought that was one of the foods you aren't supposed to give dogs...
