SMILE I *think* I have a problem... LOL

My big cats are eating the kitten chow, my dogs are eating the cat food, and my kitten is eating the dog food (along with anything else he can get those sharp little teeth on. )

DH doesn't think it's all that funny, but for some reason I think it's hilarious!

(oh and yes I know cat food is not good for dogs, they don't do it all the time, it's just something I noticed the other night when the kitten pushed the dogs out of their bowl)

I was told that dogs can eat cat food but cats have to have catfood because the vitamins a cat requires. It looks like you are ok on the dogs eating the catfood. My pets do this all the time, lol. I love pets they are funny creatures.

Just a word of warning about what you feed your pets. Up till 10 days ago I was feeding my 2 adult cats (3 yr old sisters) Cat Chow cat food and the 2 pom poms I have Iams dog food. 10 days ago one of my cats had to have a surgery which ran over $1000 because of the diet. I thought I was doing what was best for my cats and dogs. Then I started doing research on the foods. Foods sold in grocery stores are not the best things for your cats. My one cats was vomitting once or twice a week (Not the one that had surgery) I did a lot of reasearch on the natural approach to cat food and founf it was extremely expensive. After searching forum after forum I came accross a brand of dog food and cat food that is very reasonable priced for what it is (Its not as cheap as friskies or dog chow). I looked at the companie's site and saw the ingedients in the food I am using now and was very impressed with it. I did a store locator button and found a vet that sells it here (yeah I know vets mark it up) Both petco and petsmarts carry this product. For the dogs I use the Canidae all life stages (Its for dogs and puppies) and for my cats I use Felidae cat and kitten formula. (its for both cats and kittens). I noticed the difference within a few days. The cats eat less (about half of popular brands) Their coats are shiny and they are not shedding as much. The dogs energy levels have went through the roof and they eat a lot less. (My pom poms are already very active but now it has increased dramatically). The cat food costs about 25-30 bucks for a 15 lb bag which is extremely cheap for what you are getting (a healthy happy cat) and the dog food runs 44 bucks for a 40 lb bag (which is a great deal) If you wish to try either I can probably either hook you up with a sample (1/2 lb or so) or I will try and fine a link for samples of it from manufacturer. Please don't think I am advertizing but I don't want to see anyone go through what we went through with our one cat. Its funny when the cats food bowl was empty before they would just meow. Now they physically let me know that they want more food. The one cat is not very subtle either.
I started a tiny wishlist HERE There is not many coupons I need will consider stamps or paypal in trades too.

The reason why your dog should not be eating cat food is because of the high fat content in cat food, it can easily make your dog overweight. We have a dog and a cat as well and we had a problem with the dog eating out of the litter box (yes, she passed a dish of food for poo) so we put both the dish and litter in our one bathroom and then put up a baby gate about 8-10 inches up from the floor so the cat can get underneath, but not the dog and she's too lazy to jump over, it's working so far.

Its a dog thing for the litter box.

I didnt want to bring this up because i even get sick over it,

but both my poms (brian and zinger) i have to keep out of the spare bedroom and THANKFULY they are afraid of stairs because the kitty litter is down there. When my mom babysits them she has to block off the kitty litter.

We have our one cat Tum Tum (She is the cat from the auction back in may/june...) and she doesnt like sharing a litter box so we host her in our spare bedroom

The only gross thing (only zinger does this) is he walks about with his nose up any cats butt he can find that won't swat him.

I don't get it. I know its gross but if you would see how it happens... its hysterical.

Dh says something about it when it happens but its so gross i'll spare the details!
