    Default Pet Nail Clipper

Is there a coupon out there for that new thingy that files down your pet's toenails .. I saw it on TV but it's expensive.

We got one but it isn't as easy to use as they make it seem. Our puppy's nails are too short so we had to take the guard off to even use it. They don't like the noise, either. I personally don't think it is worth the money.

I've read some reviews and, unfortunately, many of them are negative. Motors tend to burn out, pets don't like the noise/vibrations, etc. I opted to spend $10 or so on a nice scissors-like manual clipper for our cats and I've been happy with that.

My dog doesn't like it at all. I have actually opted to not even have his nails filed when I take him to get groomed just because he hates it so much. And don't be fooled by the videos they show either. The file isn't even on when they show people filing the nails of these nice, well behaved pets! That is SO not how it works in real life.

My dog will let me file her nails with this, but it would take forever to get the job done. The file does not remove enough nail. This will heat up the dogs nails if you don't switch nails every few seconds. This could do more damage to your dog than careful clipping could do. If you use this, please be mindful of the amount of heat the friction causes.

I have one and it took some time but my pets don't mind it now. I turned it on and let them sniff it and get used to the noise and the vibration.
