Default Need Grain Free dog food

I finally made the switch to grain free dry dog food for my high maintenance dog. Our tractor supply finally had some so I grabbed a bag. Wow! sticker shock! That is the only store, besides a specialty pet store, that would carry it. What I bought is called Taste of the Wild. That was the only grain free food they had. Tasha Yarr is miserable with her ears so something had to be done!

I use taste of the wild and as far as I know there aren't any coupons for it. Tractor supply has a better price, but complete petmart has a frequent buyer program, it ends up equalling about the same. You might try emailing the company and see if they'll send you something.

I do think this is one of the best foods out there and my german shepherd does great on it^_^

Merrick has a grain free food, but I believe it runs about the same.

I don't have the normal pet stores where I live. I have a tractor supply and a PBS animal health store. I have to drive to other towns to find an actual pet store. I am glad to find someone who uses Taste of the Wild and that you like the food. I am a worry wart when it comes to my animals lol! I think I already emailed the company!

HI Re: Need Grain Free dog food

If you call or email the company Taste of the Wild : Home
and ask if they can send you coupon(s). You may have to do this on a monthly or as needed basis to keep them coming . Also, request that your local tractor supply provide more holistic pet food choices.

Also, www.heartypet.com - Natural Holistic Pet Foods & Supplies (Dog, Cat, Bird) currently has 50% off shipping by adding SHIP as the coupon code.

    HTH -- good luck! Leesie

P.S. I have Eukanuba Naturally Wild coupons and for a fleeting moment thought it was the brand you are using and would have gladly sent them to you.

Thanks for the web site link. The Taste of the Wild company emailed back that they don't use coupons for their products. Too bad I would stock up if it was more affordable. I am looking into raw feeding but it is looking like it will be even more expensive than this.

I also use the Taste of the Wild. I really like it, and my dog loves it. Ya, it is more expensive, but in the long run, less vet visits and a much healthier dog. But try to stay away from the Ocean Fish one. They don't guarantee their suppliers don't use Ethoxyquin, a carcenogenic. But the other two are fine. I also don't have any pet stores near me, and get it at Farm and Tractor Supply. It runs here about $42 for 30# bag. But being a premium food, my 60# boxer (1yr old) only eats between 2-3 cups a day. If you check out this website, it has many good grainless foods dogfoodanalysis.***

raw can also be cheaper, however feeding raw can be SLIGHTLY problematic in that few vets or boarding kennels will mess with it and if you live in an area where power can go off (snow/ice storms, hurricanes, etc) your dog's food will be ruined. although, i will say my doberman enjoyed the feast during the hurricane...lol

I completely agree with you about raw. My dog is fed raw 2-3 times a week. No freezer room unfortunately. It is amazing how great they do on raw.

What I bought was the prairie dry food. She seems to like it.
Where do you get your raw food? and what is it you feed your dog?
