SAD A bit OT

But I wanted to share why I havent been posting as much. We lost our little dog, Nemo to a sudden death on Tuesday . He had fallen down our steps and they think he died from a blood clot. We are really broken up about it here. He was only 5 yrs old and I had him since he was 5 weeks old. We are in a lot of grief over here. We had him creamated, $190! I didnt know it was so much. But we will work it out to get him back and get him an urn. This is so darn hard.

Thanks for listening.
PS It is the dog on the right in my avatar.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how I feel about our animals and it pains me to think about when they will no longer be with us. I hope that you find peace with it soon.

Thank you. I have been hysterical about it. Had to actually get out the Valium, I guess I am very weak. I am still in shock about it. I also hope I can find peace with it soon.

You're not weak--pets become a part of your family. Our pets are the only kids we'll ever have. It's only natural to be upset over it--you'd react the same way if it was a human, wouldn't you?

Oh no. I'm so sorry for your loss. I will be a complete wreck the day something happens to my dog. I have only had him for about 6 months. To a lot of people, pets are just like a kid. It will take some time for you to start feeling better. In the mean time, try to remember all the good times and good memories your family has with him.

Oh no! I'm so sorry! I don't even know what to say. Go ahead and grieve as much and as long as you need to.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have only had four legged fur babies; no kids here so I truly see them as my kids. I know how hard it is.

We are here when you need us.

Hugs

Lisa

My cat of 16 years (had her since she was born) died suddenly in September (actually on my birthday, of all days). We had her cremated and she is in my office with a picture next to her. I miss her every day still as she was my baby. I know completely how you feel. It will take a while to feel better, but allow yourself to grieve just like you would with anything/anyone else.
