Grocery Store is always out of stock

So, I recently moved and I have been mostly shopping at my local Pathmark. But every single week, there are at least one, two or more items on my list that they don't have in stock. I am not talking about coupon deals or cheap items from the flyer. Today's items - fresh basil and peanut butter! Last week it was honey and something else. I am just so sick of having to go to another store to pick up better items. There is an Acme that is actually closer to my house and they seem to never be out of stock. I have talked to the manager at the Pathmark a couple of times about the lack of stock and he is always full of excuses and never apologizes.

Acme seems to be more expensive but should I just bite the bullet and start shopping there? Or should I send an email to corporate complaining about the lack of stock? I am so sick of having to make a second trip to the store every week because they are not stocked properly.

are these just regular old items? not sale items or what not?

if they arent sale items, sometimes that happens. sometimes they sell more than expected, or they didnt get as much as they ordered, or what they ordered came in damaged, or .......fill in the blank.

it happens. i am sure you can call and complain, but you have to remember sometimes things happen.

went the other day to get earthbound farms potatoes and onions at my local store. not a bag of earthbound anywhere. they are never out but they were out then. produce guy said they ordered but it did not come in on the truck. might come in two days. nothing they could do about it. they tried. i am not mad as things happen. i just went to walmart and got the potatoes there and will wait on the onions.
