Was told pathmark does not double coupons

So I went to pathmark and bought some stuff I really don't know what it was but most of my coupons were $1 offs so I had some .25 cent off coupons and for some reason they didn't double and I point this out to the cashier. She tells me they don't double coupons, and I say I have been shopping here for two years you have always doubled my coupons before and its stated in your ad. So she thinks about it and goes to ask the manager....this is the response, no we only double coupons on certain days of the week....ok so which days do you double coupons.... I don't know, but we only double on food items..... So i was like forget it and paid for my crap and as I was walking out the door I said NO this is not right and went to customer service and told them what happened. And the manager stood firm on what I was told but could not tell me what days they double coupons all the while there are signs that say we double coupons please ask! So I said well I want to return all of this then and put all my bags on the counter and she was like huh? I said you know shoprite is two blocks that way and I know they will take my coupons with no problems. So she returned all of my items and refunded my money didn't say another word to me and lost a customer to shoprite that day all over GASP $2.75..... :shrug7:

Some Pathmarks do not double. The one near me in Whitestone hasn't doubled for years. I know of others here in Queens, NY that don't double either.

Its the one in Philly on arramingo ave. My point was it says it in the ad there are signs all over the store and for the last two years they have been doubling coupons... so why not that one time and they make some bogus excuse to its only certain days and for food items only. I just don't get it. I have been back and had no problems I just avoid the cashier and manager who told me that.

Did you call corporate and point out the Ad says they double... and they would not honor it?

Did you give them your pathmark advantage card before your coupons? without it coupons don't double.

I also live close to the Pathmark in whitestone, and Vloglady has it correct. It is for this reason alone that I travel to Stop and Shop in LIC to do my shopping. Whenever I use coupons in Pathmark the cashiers start cussing under their breath. One day I finally got really annoyed and turned around and said to her, "What is the problem...do you have somewhere pressing that you need to be now." That shut her up.

Damn.. I would call corporate. i called once about about not getting the right prices on a pepsi deal.. They were great and sent me my money back. That is horrible.. Tell them the whole story.. There are 2 pathmarks on Cottman ave.. Both Double everyday.. Never had an issue.. But they do limit how many of the same coupon you can use per order.
