A $1/1 coupon came out the week before last I believe. Don't know if it was regional, but I'm in Philly. | The $1 Success rice coupon was for 14 oz or larger

Also bought a gallon of milk and some gum for dd14.
Paid with a $8.00 cat and a $2.50 granola bar cat (from this past week). OOP $1.59. Received $5.00 cat :)
I would have gotten a YoCrunch yogurt but didn't have that coupon with me. This is what I will do next time:
4 Sargento shredded ($14.76 reg, $8.00 sale)
1 Yo Crunch ($1.09 reg, $.60 sale)
_______
$15.85 reg, $8.60 sale
use
2 $.50/1 Sargento insert coupons
1 $.50/1 Sargento store coupon (won't double)
1 $.25/1 Breyers yogurt store coupon (won't double)
_____
$5.85 oop, get $5.00 cat
Rinse and repeat :) Hello Lucky Mama and all, Thanks for all the info. Learning the ropes quietly and not posting. Luckymama, Why in both of you cheese runs are you only using 2 insert and 1 store coupon??? How come you didn't use 5 and 4 for the amount of product you have??? Thanks |
Welcome to our forum I'm glad you started posting
The reasons I gave the example using 2 insert coupons and 1 store coupon are:
--my insert coupons are $.50/2, so I have to buy 2 cheeses to use 1 coupon
--the store coupon is a limit of 1 per transaction
Understand? Coupons can get confusing! It helps to write everything down, either on your ad or on some scratch paper. I write on the back of junk mail------the item, the sale price (the shelf price too, if it's for one of the "buy $XX" sales) and the coupon amounts. That way I can see exactly how many of what item I need to buy, and I can easily add up to what the total SHOULD be when I check out

My store was way too crowded and the register lines were neverending when I stopped in - so I just did a little browsing to try and plan deals.
There are many other Kellogg's cereals with Bonus Bucks shelf tags for the Kellogg's Keebler deal - no other sale products, but full priced items. Didn't commit any to memory.
The Keebler fudge shop cookies (can definitley confirm Grasshoppers, since my daughter loves these and I'm always looking for sales) have BB shelf tags. At my store regular price for the cookies were $4.19.
The Cheezits that are on sale (larger boxes, 10-16 oz) also have BB tags. In my store regualr price was $4.49.
Both of these items are around 1/2 regular price on sale so would cause those regular price totals of $30 to add up pretty quickly.
Attempt at your own risk I haven't tried it yet. Just passing on my observations. | Well, that IS interesting, especially the CheezIts! Sunshine is Keebler, after all. Who's going to try?

Anyone else have an ad with two different sale prices for the Turkey Hill ice cream and the Kellogg's cereal? How is your store handling it? My ad is good for DE, Bucks/Chester/Delaware/Montgomery/Northampton counties in PA, and Atlantic/Burlington/Camden/Cumberland/Gloucester/Middlesex/Ocean counties in NJ.

4 Fiber Plus bars (reg. $3.49, sale $2.50)
2 Crispix (reg. $4.49, sale $1.88)
2 Corn Flakes (reg. $4.89, sale $1.88)
Total before coupons: reg. prices $32.73, sale prices $17.52
Use coupons:
4 Fiber Plus @ $.75/1 ("double" to $1ea)
$1.50/2 Crispix
$1.50/2 Corn Flakes

$10.52 after coupons, get $7.00 oyno catalina
LOTS of other scenarios are possible! My store didn't have a shelf tag for the Frosted Flakes so I don't know its regular price.
A transaction of 2 Frosted Flakes, 2 Crispix, 2 Corn Flakes and 1 Fiber Plus bars (to bring the total up to $30) might work out to be a nice low oop total:
$3.76 2 FF
$3.76 2 Crispix
$3.76 2 CF
$2.50 fiber plus
Use:
$1.50/2 FF
$1.50/2 Crispix
$1.50/2 CF
$.75/1 fiber plus ("doubled" to $1)
____________
$8.28 after coupons, get $7 oyno ------>net cost of $1.28 for 6 cereals, 1 bars! As in every situation with the "must buy $xx" deals, double check your own store's shelf prices before checking out! My store prices are given just as a guideline.

I am in Cherry Hill, Camden county. My circular has the 2 diff. prices too. Haven't gone yet to see which one they are honoring, but I would imagine they'd have to honor the lowest advertised price. woohoo!

Thanks Luckymama for the scenarios. I did two transactions today:
4 of the Turkey Hill Larger Ice Creams Shelf $4.XX, $2.48 on sale
2 Pints Turkey Hill Ice Cream $1.50 on sale
Total $12.95
Minus $11 in cats from last week
$1.95 OOP and $5 cat back
2nd Transaction
5 Sargento Shredded Cheese $3.69 shelf, $2 on sale
Total $10
Minus (4) .50/1 insert cpns doubled
Minus $5 Turkey Hill Cat
$1 oop and $5 cat back
I will do the Sargento again. Wish I had a 3rd freezer. I'd stock up on Ice Cream. |
