A&P has this club called the Live Better! Wellness Club which is actually pretty good to join. It's a savings in itself to join. You pay $4.99 to join and you get discounts off certain healthy groceries and healthy products which regularly change. Additionally, you get discounted generic prescription drugs. If you need some other benefits, they have them like discounted flu shots, etc.

The kicker is that you also get a coupon for $4.99 off your next purchase of $25.00 or more. So it's like you get your money back.

But on for the savings...

One of the monthly sales for members affiliated with this program is the Kraft LiveActive Sticks which is on sale for 2 for $5. If you have the coupon for $4.50/1, you make $2 on each pack!

So... go get your membership and go get you some free cheese!

They give you overage??? Wow, that's unheard of for a supermarket in NJ! LOL

yeah, only at the A&P in Tinton Falls. Perhaps b/c I self scan and there's no one scrutinizing my coupons. But I once went there and bought 3 jars of bertolli sauce, 2 pks of kotex pads and 1 stick of right guard deodorant and spent 0.74.

The Bertolli was on sale for $1.49 each (-$1/1 Q) = 0.49 each x 3
The kotex was on sale for $1.49 each (- $2/1 Q) = 0.51 overage x 2
The right guard was $1.24 each (-0.50/1 Q dbled) = 0.21 each x 1

At the end of everything... all I had to pay was 0.74. The lady behind me was like, goodness, how'd you do that! lol....

A&P doesn't even allow you to scan any discounts until the end of the transaction. You scan all your groceries, hit finish & total (or something like that), THEN you can scan your club card and any coupons. So everything comes off at the end, and no beeping!
