Re: 10/30-11/5 dollar doubler coupons So... I went back to a different A&P tonight. They actually had the Nyquil 10 ounce bottles, AND their regular price was $7.49 so I could have just bought 3 to get the deal. Sadly I was down to 2 Vicks coupons, so I bought 2 of them and was going to get 1 Crest and 1 Oral B. The first Oral B Advantage I tried (the actual Advantage, not the Glide or any other variety) did not scan on sale, and I didn't feel like having problems again, so I went and got another one and that did scan on sale. Then my Oral B coupon would not work, turned out I had the one for the Crossaction. So I had them remove yet another toothbrush from the order and went to get another Crest (I had found a 2nd coupon in my pocket during the checkout process). I bought the one with Scope because it was in the ad, but the variety they had was with the bonus small size and it had a different UPC. Anyway, I paid, got my order down under $7 (the cashier gave me the full extra $1 on a $1.50 coupon) and once again the $7 coupon did not print!!! Fortunately, this time the person who was in charge was someone I knew and had dealt with. They have a list of coupon codes they enter in situations like this, and he just refunded me the $7. No arguing over whether I had bought the right amount. BTW, my experience now at 3 different stores is that the cashiers are giving a full $1 on all of the doublers, no matter that the value of the coupons. Maybe I'm just lucky (on that, at least). |
