A&P ~ unadvertised turkey deal

I was in the store today and they ad a sign on the Riverside turkeys of a special deal. Spend $70 and get a turkey up to 20lb for $.29/lb, spend $90 and pay $.19/lb.

I had > $90 pre-coupons (after club card) and actually found a huge 19.99 lb bird that I got for $4. My total after coupons was $29 as I had tons of coupons and a few $5 cats from Acme.

I already have a turkey coming from the Campbells deal and need another $3 for the Unilever deal turkey and got a 6 lb Lasagna from Acme instead of a turkey. Family will be visiting from out of town around Christmas and the turkey and lasagna will make a couple of great meals.

I heard about that on the radio today. I believe if you spend $50 it's discounted, too. Something like 49 cents/pound.

Hmm, I'll et they bought a couple of boatloads of turkeys expecting msny people to get them for the various promos, but not many people got enough stuff to qualify. You don't sell many turkeys after T-Day so t:shrug7:hey have to get rid of them somehow.
