QUESTION SuperFresh ~ 5% 10% 15% Certificates?

Hi All,
I was just 'assessing the damage' from last weeks great sales at Super Fresh. In 5 days of shopping I did $600 even for the 15% certificate! My OOP was about $40.61 and (after purchasing a few non-rolling items) I have 86.50 in CATS and $1437.13 in savings! Not bad for almost all at one store. Not to mention I have all the products!

So I wanted to ask those who have done a % off promo before how this works. First of all, I sure hope we have triples next week to go with this deal! So I wonder:
1) Is 15% off the retail, sale or post coupon, or post bonus bucks?
2) The certificates have a no upc, but instead a unique numerical code. The certificate doesn't mention any restriction. Do you think I can use a $5/40 Store Q on my order?
3) Any game plans anyone would like to suggest?
4) Do you think you could split your 5% certificates over 3 orders instead of combinging them? I ask because $5/40 is 12.5% off of $40. I think perhaps I would maximize the 5% by splitting into 3 12.5%+5%=17.5% orders. Of course, if I exceed $40 my % value would decline...humm...

Oh...I hope we have a good sales ad next week!

As I thought about it some more I realised that these cert's are good 8/28-9/3- Hopefully with a Holiday coming and back to school they would have some good sales. Plus, we have a nice chunk of coupons expiring on the 31st. Perhaps we can put a hurting on them. I wonder if I could manage a $500 order (since the limit is $75 off) and break even...

Since the certs have no UPC code, you will not be able to scan them and the cashier will have to enter the code, even if you do SCO. IME, they are told that this should be scanned at the very end after card scan and coupons. I'm not sure about the BBs because I've never had them when doing a % off deal. They should be allowed after because they are just like cash, but YMMV,

Yes, they should scan fine if your total shows $40 or more before scanning. This would be done before using the % off coupon though.

3) Any game plans anyone would like to suggest?

It's hard to tell until we see the ads for the week. Maybe they will have a Kraft deal and a Kellogg's deal with good sale prices. :hectic1:
Usually there are great coupons the week before and after a Holiday to make up for the no coups on the Holiday.

This would almost certainly not work, but you can use each one of your 5% certs on separate orders.

Oh...I hope we have a good sales ad next week!
Of course, some of this could change if you get lucky with the cashier.

Thanks for your feedback:)
I have a really cool cashier (if she is there when I go, though at this particular store they are just cool overall) I can try for. Since there isn't anything spelled out about how it works I'll assume the most beneficial for me.

I do it the way I usually do, but through in the % cert:
1-ring my order
2-hit subtotal so I have that on the receipt and they see and say the total that is over $40
3-then my store card (can't get the coupons to ring until I do!)
4-then $5/40 (since this is a numberical thing)-I've never had it not scan, even when my total after Super Fresh card goes under $40.
5-then 15% cert, since this is gonna come off of what it's programed to regardless of order- right?
6-then my MQ
7-then BB's
8-graciously accept the praises of the cashier and customers patiently waiting behind me as they lament their inability to do what I just did. Maybe throw some coupons in my joy!
9-Cleverly happen to have included MIR items, free baby food Q's and Bonus Bucks to get all my money back and then some.
