sounds like that manager has a bee in his bonet! only way you can get that changed is to keep reporting him.
I looked back at my receipt and the Red Baron pizza q's did double and triple and the mgr. actually voided the q's and manually entered the $.75 as a "grocery coupon."
My SF is the same way, in Westmont, NJ. They take nearly an hour to match each coupon with it's counterpart on my receipt...even at the USCAN! I don't expect overages there, but I do expect for them NOT to waste my time. DND 5's are searched for as well, even on non-tripling weeks. Dare I say, "couponer profiling?"
I agree, overage is nice but don't bank on getting it, however this whole being treated like you are robbing them attitude that a lot of stores have is what irks me.
Let me see, you work for a company that runs a promotion offering triple coupons and then you expect that nobody will come in and use coupons? Why did they think corporate is running the promotion? Also, bad attitude at the checkout and making people not want to come back and/or making them want to use self checkout, hmmm, what does that do for their job security?

My shopping trip at SF last night was the best. I just absolutely love those type of shopping trips. The lady at U-Scan was sooo nice and helpful. She even helped me packed my bags and put them in the cart for me.
My total was $240 before I scanned my savings card. After I scanned my savings card it was $192. Then after I used all of my coupons, my total was $4.85!
Every coupon tripled some with overage and some without. I had so many coupons that my transaction was complete and it took like 3-5 minutes for the UScan to catch up. The customers in line thought that there was something wrong with the register. I told them that I used a lot of coupons and it has to catch up.
I wish all of my shopping trips can be as pleasant as this one.
I agree with you tealover, the attitude that some cashiers give is ridiculous. They make you feel like you are robbing the store and they can give you such a hard time. When I started using coupons I felt nervous using them because of the treatment that I have gotten from some cashiers but I was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Now I use my coupons with pride and if I am given a hard time or made to look like I am doing something wrong than I will get your name and I will call the corporate office and complain. (I learned that from HCW)
The Trappe Super Fresh will be closing along with the one in Etters.
Good deals to be had until they pack everyting up and send it to other stores.
The Trappe Superfresh is in Collegeville and I stopped in a few weeks ago on my way home for potatoes. It is in a college town (name of Ursinus) Looked around and was blown away by the number of outdated and I mean WAAAY outdated and expired products from yogurt to deli meat, to the bacon which was on sale!!!
There is a college age looking cashier there with dark hair shoulder length which I would stay away from ...she looks deceptively friendly until you start checking out and she uber checks out your coupons. I know the overage issue and hey I'm happy as long as the product is free and no overage but to start questioning you about q's?
Ugh I go elsewhere normally. Used to LOVE the SF in Devon/202 on the way home from work until that flipped to a Pathmark.sigh:(
