McCain 5 min fries
McCain regular fries
McCain regular fries ( the ones that are thin cut like 5 min fries)
Ellios pizza 9 ct pepperoni 3.19ea
Ellios pizza 9 ct pepperoni
total= 38.70

NO CAT...

I also had another order of OJ, gerber grad. stuff and Tyson chicken nuggets. Got a cat for gerber...buy $10 worth get $2 cat

Hmm, obviously the catalina machine was working, so that's not the problem. I see that someone said the 5 minute fries worked, and teh pepperoni pizza. Could it be the "regular" fries that weren't programmed? And I have no idea about the LOL, not enough people have posted about that...

Edited to add

I just reviewed the thread and someone earlier said their LOL deal also did not work and it included cheese. Maybe cheese isn't programmed correctly.

On sunday, I did LOL deal with butter (4).

Today, I went and bought 3 oatmeal squares and 4 quick oats, $3 deducted automatically.

So, has anyone ever frozen the wholly salsa and how was it after thawing? I ask cause I tried freezing classic wholly guac when it was a freebie a HT's a while ago, and it was horrible! Now, I don't know if the freezing made the garlic so intense or what, but it was inedible due to the super strong garlic when I thawed it. This is comming from a person who enjoys eating whole garlic and roasted garlic, and just about any other kind of garlic. It was just really really yucky!! It would not be a problem not freezing the salsa except dummy me got all of them with exp dates of feb 15

So what then do I do? nothing?
I mean the price of products I bought was correct. Then my receipt says "coupons used" about $17 worth..a.k.a. the sales price deductions. In that case,if you go by what my receipt says I did actually purchase $15 and $20 worth of McCain and LOL products, I just got the store coupon discount so I PAID $20 for those items?

I guess what I am trying to say is should I ask CS to give me the $10 I'm owed or do I chalk it up as an oh well, lesson learned?

First off, don't expect CS to buy your argument that since you bought it at regular prices, it should print. Many of them don't know that is how the system works, so they tell you it only works at sale prices. That always seems fruitless to me, so I don't recommend it. I have read so many rants about how CS doesn't understand.....

Possible courses of action I have heard/read about that seem to work:

1. Return items and rebuy items you know are working
2. Chalk it up to experience
3. Buy the amount at sale prices then go to CS and ask why it didn't print

Me, I usually chalk it up to experience - I save so much that when a deal doesn't work, I think of it as a learning experience. But my budget isn't that tight, so I can do that. And I hate taking the time to go to CS.

Any time I do one of these Bonus Bucks deals based on regular shelf prices I know I do it at my own risk. If I am not willing to wind up with my oop costs on the items and possibly not get the Bonus Bucks then I don't do the deal. In other words I never try it on anything I won't use anyway or items in the deal that I feel are overpriced and I can get at a better sale price somewhere else.

Your sale prices on the items was $20 - your regular prices may have been $35, but the sale prices as far as the grocery store is concerned was $20.

Talking to customer service about not getting your bonus bucks based on sale prices is going usually going to fall on deaf ears. The intent of the bonus bucks offer is that it should be based on prices you are actually paying (i.e. sale prices) - it is actually just a fluke that it works on sale prices.

As far as the customer service desk is concerned you should have paid $35 dollars after store discounts and before manu coupons in order to get your bonus bucks.

Either keep the items and chalk it up to lesson learned or return the items.

You can also try calling the Catalina company - I don't have it handy but their number is posted on this site somewhere or you can google them for the info. I seem to remember other people having some success having them look at the receipt to verify you bought the right stuff and they will mail you a bonus buck. Just be sure to have your receipt with you when you call as they need info on it to look up your transaction. I called them a while back after having a problem at Walgreens and they were able to do that for me, but I've not tried on a SF deal.

Thanks. the only reason I asked is because to me the deal does go entirely by shelf prices. If it didnt, then why would the receipt be separated into 3 sections, one being the shelf price with total, 2 being the sales price total aka store coupons and 3 being man. coupons. At the bottom of the receipt it clearly says total at $3X.XX and coupons at $17.XX total due is $20.XX. I used no man. coupons for my food. Oh well I guess.

I only asked to see if there was an easy route to take with CS but maybe I will just try calling Catalina directly. thanks!
