I generally see at least one time a year one-day passes available for non-members to shop. I've seen them in the newspaper and an online coupon before. Families can also share memberships, up to 3 different people I think. I know when I was still a college student me and my brother was on my mother's account - she paid the membership fee, but we each had cards that would get us in to shop.

Splitting the cost sounds like a great idea. My DH does not and will not use coupons and he does the regular shopping. I do the stockpiling. I've learned to never ask him what he paid at the store.

Funny tidbit: When DH wants to make me mad he says he's going to the store to buy xxxxxx product. He says "I'm gonna buy it and pay full price!"

I second what others have said about olive oil and trash bags. A random combination I know, but they are considerably cheaper than any deal I have found anywhere else.

My store sells packs of boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.97/lb. These are in the fresh meat section, not the frozen foods section. That is just about the best price anywhere, unless you have one of those elusive WTs!

the mention of the printer ink cartridges caused me to realize that yes, I do get those there, and they are quite a bit less. I can get 2 blacks and a color for the price of one black and a color elsewhere. I wish HP put out coupons for their ink cartridges- and that Staples doubled coupons! LOL!

My Sam's also has a members-only gas station. I know gas prices are ridiculouly high everywhere, but Sam's is cheaper than other places nearby.
