Default re: Sam's Club ~ So can anyone tell me why I should shop at Sam's Club?

I'm not sure if I'm going to renew my membership. My son likes the Hersehy's boxed milk, they have the best price on Healthy Choice Chicken soup and of course bottled water. :smile77: I bought two packs of each last night in case I don't renew. I bought cheese and butter from there last month, so we should be ok for a while.

Our store has really changed, it used to be pretty relaxing to shop in thereit is crazy in there now with people trying to get in front of you in line, kids running around and stuff. I stopped buying the cooked chickens there because they were still pink, so gross. The last 2 times I bought cans of fruit a few of them were dented. I stopped buying potatoes because every time I went to buy them they were starting to sprout. They always had the best potatoes! I'm not sure what is going on!

We have had a membership for a long time but after I started really looking at deals in the grocery stores and couponing I realized a lot of things I thought were so great @ Sam's (like frozen chicken) I could get a lot cheaper if I watched for sales.

i let my membership expire last yr. not worth it really. I seem to get much better deals bargain shopping at grocery stores. You can't really get out of Sam's w/o blowing a hundred bucks. Bacon is cheaper at Sams as well as cheese and a few other things but stock up on a good sale at grocery and you actually make out better. I always liked going in there just to look around but don't really have the time anymore for that kinda thing.

Some things that I think are really good deals at Sam's Club are the fresh Mozzarella, you get two separate pieces that are pretty big, it cost about $8 for two, much cheaper than going to the market and paying about $5 for one small ball!

I also buy Premium crackers, you can get a box full of 12 packages for around 4.50, at the grocery store you will pay about 2.00 (on sale) for a box of 4.

Sam's Club - Nabisco Premium Saltine Crackers - 3 lb. box

Also last but not least we buy these Pretzels that are flat but are very tasty. They are a good snack, at the fruit market they sell small bags for 2.99 at Sam's you get a huge bag of pretzel crisps for about $6.

Sam's Club - Snack Factory® Pretzel Crisps - 23oz

The company I work for just gave us sams memberships, so I went yesterday. I got dog food 50 lb bag , laundry detergent, uncle charleys sausage, rasberries, bread and 4c iced tea mix total came to 61.20 , not sure if that was a good deal

Unless something spectacular happens for us this year i won't renew mine in Jan. I bought it when they had the gift card deal. Only thing i save on is the produce & meat. Everything else is just not for our family.

I shop @ Sams club for the meat & liter bottles of Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Way cheaper than anywhere else even with Qs. I also find really good deals on clothes for my 4yr old. I also buy plants in the summer. Cheaper than most green houses or Lowes etc.

I let my membership expire this year. Hubby and I sat down and really thought about it, and we couldn't think of a single reason to keep it. Once I started couponing the only thing I was buying there was baby formula and now we don't need that anymore. Everything else was WAY cheaper at the grocery store. The store I was shopping at was going downhill quick anyways. The selection was becoming less and less and the prices were skyrocketing!!!

I like to go on Saturdays when they are doing samples of food and giving it out. You could almost do lunch there.

We used to buy almost everything at SAMs - used clicknpull every month. Now we only buy the following which we cant beat anywhere else :
Fresh Broccoli ( the savings on this alone pays for our membership)
Organic salad mix ( the box)
Cheese (blocks - dont want cellulose in shred)
Canned crushed tomatoes
Trash Bags
Ocassional clothing item
Tortillas ( sometimes)
Butter ( when I havent stockpiled from elsewhere they have the best price consistently)
Ive stocked some of my emergency supplies here as well ( Water, #10 cans chili, big cans of chicken etc)

We refill our inks at Cartridge World and the service and quality is amazing. I use HP02 photosmart inks and have never ever had a problem with refilling there. The price is half of the new price. They even install a chip so I can check ink levels. My store also gives a discount if you bring in a WM receipt on Saturdays =0)
