A: YES!!!

Q: Do they double manufacturer's coupons?

A: Yes, but only on Saturdays. Fred's Stores will double one like coupon per transaction with a face value of up to $.70. Multiple coupons will be redeemed at face value.

Hi, Fred's shoppers.

I started to put together a Frequently Asked Questions thread for you all, but since I'm at a distinct disadvantage by knowing nothing at all about the store, I'm begging for you guys to help me out. Please post with any questions that you might have about the store and their policies and hopefully between all of us we can come up with an answer and I'll update the OP here. Or if you know the answer to something that might be beneficial to other Fred shoppers, go ahead and post that and we'll come up with a question to go along with it!!!

When I was shopping today, I asked the assistant manager if Fred's accepts IP coupons. She wasn't sure and asked her store manager. Unfortunately, they do not take them. I only have one Fred's near me so I don't know (for sure) if that's company wide or a store specific decision, but my impression was that it was company wide.
I'm still thrilled to have manfacturer Qs doubled (up to 70 cents) anyway!

i had no idea you could only use one coupon per like item. a few weeks ago i bought 3 of the same item (.50/1 reach floss) and all 3 went through and doubled (making them free!).

has anyone else had an experience with this?

I know there are many stores that have been doubling coupons lately.....but not around me :(

Is there enough traffic through this thread to start some kind of listing of free after q items? There are a few Fred stores around me, but I always forget about shopping at them....much less trying to throw them in on a Saturday.

If we could start one up, maybe we could get some more traffic through the stores.....and more people posting deals??!!

i have never heard of them till recently. from inserts.. i searched and found one here in our area..(far for me to drive.) we have everything here in our area to drive out of area for that... but any way i was over there and located it one day a few months ago.. now i am speakin for this store only! but i was NOT impressed. it was kinda dumpy and didnt have much of a selection of branded items... also some items were out of date...the double coupon up to .70 i guess is nice as here we have only k-mart when they choose to do it in our area... but heck... i have never seen a coupon for .70 that i can recall.. maybe .60 and .55 but any hoo... this may pan out for some of you.. not worth the drive in traffic around here for me! JMO!

I shop at freds often and get some good deals on double coupon sunday..and yes they only double the first one of the same coupon, unless the person that sets it up for that store for that day made a mishap and did it wrong..that has happen to me here and I asked are you doubling all the coupons today and she said no still just the first one of the same like always and I told her that it double all my coupons and they told me why and that I could just gone on and get by with it that one time..

they do carry a lot of name brand items here but they also carry alot of off brand also, i guess my store is about half and half..what I done is went to the store and made a list of the name brand items that they carry that I use so I know that I can double my saving on tht item if I have a coupon. There prices run right about the sames as walmarts on most things some are a little cheaper and some a few cents more but if i can double the coupons on those items I still come out better off...

If I buy two of one item I usually pay out two times to get my full double savings and so far they have not had any problems with me doing that.

I often get dawn,and ajax for Free on those double saturday's.. a .50 coupon becomes $1 and thats what those items cost.

Stayfree pads are cheaper there than at walmart so I love it when I have a buy one get one free and a $1 off or .50 off coupon..

Toothpaste is often free there to...
