Can I use these coupons on these items?!

I was at Casey’s General Store (a gas station) and noticed the following…

- $3.00 off TWO Vick’s Products from the 8/28 P&G Insert
Final Price = FREE! + $.22 Overage

Also, can I use this coupon for this?!?!
Pamper’s Changing Kit, $1.99
- $1.50 off ONE Pampers Cruisers from a Target Home Mailer (Manufactuer Coupon)
Final Price = $.49!

First of all, have you ever used a coupon at a gas station? How did that go over? Secondly, what does one do when the coupon exceeds the value of the product?

I attempted to call a coporate number for Casey’s and it gave me a busy signal. (Weird.) So then I decided to e-mail them and I got this back…

I use q's at my gas stations Sheetz and Getgo (mostly cigarettes and snuff but have used others) Overages you'd have to check with the store on their policy (I don't think they do it but I never had that happen at a gas station so don't know). I don't think many ppl think they accept them but they do. I've never had problems except if q states carton and they don't have a carton but 10 packs which is equal to a carton..go figure..sometimes they will let me use it and sometimes not. Or if its for a pack and I buy a carton they make me buy a pack others will just scan it. Guess depends on the employee.

Many stores will just end up changing the amount off from the q so it doesn't have overages. Wal-Mart does do overage but your total has to be more or equal to the overages so they take the full value of the q. If you call the store they should be able to tell you their q policy and some have it posted online. I found out the hard way at my local grocery store after checking out handed over my q's then they told me they didn't accept IP's. You will learn more everyday about your stores policies and every store is different.
