Default Sears Grand Black Friday---Help! :)

I have never done Sears Grand Black Friday before....and we will be driving for over an hour to get there, but they are going to have some really great deals on washers and dryers and I need them......So do you wait outside for the doors to open and then run like mad dogs to try to find what you need or is there any order what so ever???? Any tips greatly appreciated! :P

I've never shopped Sears on Black Friday at opening time if I go at all it is usually later on before the sale ends.

How busy & how fast it will sell out could depend on a lot of things: where you live ( small or large town ), how many people are going to be in the market for a washer / dryer, how many they will have on hand, etc.

I hear the washer / dryer sets are going to be popular & highly sought after so people will be arriving at the store early. Perhaps if you called your store & asked them how busy they usually are on Black Friday & when do people start arriving they could give you more insight.

I recommend being at the door closest to the appliances & yes if there are a lot of people there you will more than likely have to run like a "mad dog".

I haven't hit Sears for black friday in 3 years. I went the previous 4 year. Sears gave out $10 gift cards to the first 200 customers. I have no idea if they still run this promotion. My husband and I both received a card each year.

Sears is nothing like Wal-Marts Black Friday. People scurried but were polite. It's not like people will pick up the washer and dryer and run to the register. The best thing to do is find a sales associate and ask them to ring up the order asap.

Another consideration is Home Depot. I found the Black Friday washers and dryers on the floor marked at BF prices yesterday.

It will all depend on the variables as I mentioned above. I have heard from friends, family & various places on line throughout the years that Sears BF can be very intense of course like you mentioned though not as bad as Walmart & the like. However it is 1st come 1st serve so yes the sooner one gets to the item they want to get it rung up the better.

Usually if the GC's are going to be given out it is mentioned in the ad. At least it has been in the past.

From what I have heard Sears has the better prices over Home Depot & Lowes on the washers & dryers.

Any place on BF early morning is intense. Adrenaline is high and deals are limited. This year I fear will be very, very bad due to the economy.

Try to keep your kids at home or someone watch them in the car/truck. Little bodies and BF crowds do not mix well.

I agree that what will occur in store is based on the area, economy and availability of choices.

He is going at that one alone I believe. I will be facing walmart for two ipods......and I am going to have a sitter for the kids.....hopefully I can be back home before they are out of bed......hehehehe....

They are suppose to have 4 per store....and the front loads will be 599 per set....so there is a good chance he will not be able to get a set. They open the doors at 4 am and we live over an hour away......Hope he is able to get a set :)
