Trader Joes ~ I go to Trader Joes because....

Their eggs are fresh and always 99 cents for a dozen.
They have the cheapest bre cheese!
They have a good size package of cherry tomatoes for $1.99.
They have indian bread for curry
They have mochi ice cream for $2.99
Their bread is less than $2

Aaaand, they have Asahi beer!! Good stuff.

I don't know if you are a hummus fan but they have the best hummus there too (and at a great price)! And the dried hibiscus flowers are a real treat. Only 1.50/bag! The olive oil is a great deal too! I could go on and on...salsa, lemon curd, cous cous...they have the best stuff and at cheaper prices than I can get with coupons a lot of the time!

It's always a real treat for DH and I to go to Trader Joes! We just started going fairly recently but always enjoy the trip (we go maybe once a month). Our state can't sell liquor in the grocery stores but we are planning stopping by one to try the wine the next time we are in Virginia! I'll have to tell DH about the Asahi beer to see if he wants to try some!

They also have really yummy sparkling limeade in a huge glass bottle. I believe it's around the $2 mark.

Ok, I think I'm going to go check out Trader Joe's finally. =) I always get their little catalog in the mail and the stuff sounds REALLY GOOD! Looks pretty reasonably priced too.

They have a Pumpkin Seed bread that is fantastic! I'm a bread snob, much rather bake it myself, but I'm completely hooked on it.

Been wondering if I can reproduce the recipe at home, though...it's expensive to buy. I bought the pumpkin seeds at Trader Joes to try making the bread myself :) but haven't tried yet.

Lately I've picked up almond milk, weetabix, of course, and some of their frozen foods are good. Love the shrimp dumplings & general tso chicken. My splurge instead of eating out.

bexx if you go to the TJs in Federal Way, say "Hi" to Chuck for me. He used to work at my Trader Joe's back when we both lived in California. Totally weirded me out to see him in WA.

I won't buy meat at Trader Joe's, but if you need champagne, brie, organic fruits and vegetables, or really really good sandwich cookies, to me it's worth it. I used to shop there all the time for everything because their canned goods (especially canned tomatoes) are cheaper than the grocery store.

However, this was before I discovered coupons. So I guess it's still good for people who don't coupon, but I hardly go there any more :(
