Other National Chain Store ~ Question: Carter's ~ Mailer too good to be true???

Did anyone else receive the Carter's mailer coupons today? Can we combine them all?

It's 50% off the whole store next weekend, that's the sale. No coupon necessary. Then they gave us an "addl 20% coupon." Then if go between 12-12 on BF, I get another 10%.

50 then 20 then 10--really?

Yep, I also got the homemailer for $10 off $10 or more this weekend, one for Carter's and one for Oshkosh b'gosh, yippee!

Are the 20% and 10% both coupons? If so I don't think you can combine them. At least that is the response I have gotten from both Osh Kosh and Carters when I have shopped there.

No, only the 10% thing is a coupon, the other two are in-store specials.

I'm not that excited about it anymore, I did the math--

Buy $100 worth of stuff
Get 50% off, now $50
Get another 20% off, now down to $40
Use coupon for another 10% or -$4

Final total on a $100 purchase is $36, or 64% off. A good deal, not a great deal, they make it seem like it could be 80% but it's not.

When I looked at it, and figured it out, they have better deals during the year. Last year I had the 10% early bird (coupon they gave out at the door), 20% coupon I got in the mail, and then everything was 50% off. Usually, throughout the year, they do like 60-70% off sales, then you can combine that with a 20% off a $50 or more purchase. BUT, last BF, I got the 50% off (which it seems like the stores are ALWAYS at least 50% off of the "ticketed" price), and then tried to use my 10% early bird coupon, and my 20% coupon, and was told I could only use one. So I asked what it was, exactly, that made it any better to come there at midnight than at noon on any random wednesday. So I just used my 20% coupon, and wasn't exactly happy when I walked out :(
