Jay C Food Stores

Jay C Food Stores is also owned by Kroger... anyone go there? Also trying to determine if this chain doubles q's the same as Kroger or not?

Hi, I wish I had saw your post earlier. I have three local Jay C stores and they do not double coupons. About five or six years ago the Jay C stores in Orange County Indiana doubled coupons up to $.50 for a few months but then stopped. It was clearly stated in their ads and on store signs that they were the only Jay C stores doing it. I’m sorry, if it’s any consolation, not all Kroger stores double either.

BUT, you can use e-coupons loaded to your Kroger or Jay C card at Jay C. Because most of the e-coupon sites only let you register one card, you can load all your coupons to that one card and redeem them at either store. I’ve redeemed Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons on my Kroger card at Jay C more than once. I have also had success in redeeming Kroger coupons you get in the mail at Jay C, and IPs.

One last tip I want to share is that Jay C does not run the same sales as Kroger. They run the same promotions like the Mega 10, but most of the items are different and when they do have the same item on sale Kroger is usually cheaper. However; I do find it pays to check the Jay C ad every week because sometimes they do have some great loss leaders.

We have JayC by us, and they just started doubling coupons two weeks ago. Looks like it's permanant!
