I would have just walked away, but the tops I got were only $1.97 each! And she gave me 15% off since I couldn't use the cpn. My thing is, the cpn is designed to get people in the store, which it obviously accomplished, but then they're not going to honor it!?!? There is nothing I can get at Sears that I can't get somewhere else that does honor the incentives they offer. I am going to write to Sears tomorrow [little rant - sorry]!

OH man! missed this one:sad: and I'm here checking new posts once a day. If the title would be 10$ coupon at Sears I would checked the thread for sure, but just Sears did not intice(sp) me. Nor I can't afford to check every new post with 3 small children.
Please do not get me wrong, I'm not complaining, just suggesting.Good for all of you who were able to use it!

They didn't honor mine today in Alpharetta, GA either. They had a sign up for it. I admit to being a little irritated to getting out in the rain for only that purpose. The coupon doesn't expire until November and I think if you put a coupon out there then refusing to accept is ridiculous. So, I am wondering for those that 'abused' it, how well did they do...

I would not say I "abused" my coupon..

I use 3, I got 10 shirts and paid 2.14 total for all 3 transactions. Two the first day, and one the next.

What if you all that got the coupon (I don;t have one FYI) and then try to use it near the end before it expires? Perhaps all this mumbo jumbo will calm down.

I don't consider 3 abuse... I just think it is crazy to put the coupon out there, no real restrictions, and then yank it away. Believe me, I would have probably used more than that. Sears just handled this wrong.

JTLYK - this coupon IS still available on the website, just printed some in fact. It is a pdf but since it is currently listed again on their site, I don't see how they can keep refusing it.
I just texted my DH who happens to run our local Sears in MO and they are taking them at this time. If people go in and attempt to use more than one during a visit, then they will put a stop to it.
So, just a friendly suggestion, keep your coupon use to one per visit, and no this doesn't mean go out and come back in for another "visit" 5 minutes after using the q.

They do have security that sits in a nice little room that just wait for people to do that.

Ok.. I wanted to clear up this with the $10.00/10.00 Q. I went myself to Sears with every intention of using this Q. They told me "We don't accept these due to abuse" so I called Sears Corporate. They lady there told me that was not true. What happened in the Sears website was HACKED and someone put those Qs online. THEY ARE FRAUDULENT. Sears pulled the Qs and reinforced their site to keep this from happening again and emailed all stores to let them know. She told me some managers are telling the cashiers to say it was due to abuse so people don't know the site was hacked.

HTH
